*Update- comments regarding tools are strange. I used a simple phillips head screwdriver to remove the old and attach the new part to the sides of the rcliners and a pair of wire cutters to squeeze the tabs inside the bottom of the recliner to remove the old one. I needed no other tools and it works beautifully! *This was extremely easy to replace. So much so that I ordered one to test and then ordered the second one! It was difficult finding instructions and took a bit for my common sense to kick start due to fear of crushing my hand in the recliner. Once I figured out what I was doing it was very simple. I would encourage to add either a link to a YouTube video for this specific type or even simple instructions of how to get the recliner open. Others may be worried at first as I was that I would get my hand caught during the release. (which was not likely to happen now that I know). Still give it 5 stars! Took less than 10 minutes to replace.

Installed in 5 minutes. Make sure you got some pliers to take the clip off the old one. But it worked great. Perfect fit. Almost seems the chair works better that before. Just hate everything is from china

It's an easy fit but its cheap plastic and they don't last that long and the pin that comes with it is just slightly too short. I always have to use the original pin that came with the broken handle.

This item was a bit of a pain to install but I managed. Unfortunately the handle broke within a week and I just gave up and started using a pair of pliers.

I wasn't sure at first which one would work, but measured the chair, this one fit perfectly and it took me about 2 minutes to uninstall the broken one and put this one in. Worked perfectly and looks exactly like the one I had. Can't tell that it was replaced.

I was sceptical due to the price but this replacement part is perfect. I measured the handle where you pull to release the recliner and low and behold it turned out to be the correct cable length AND the clip that holds the cable on the inside was the exact length from the end of the cable to work correctly. You really don't have to be an incredibly handy person to do this job. Just pay attention to how the old cable comes out and it really is incredibly easy to put the new one in. I ended up fixing my parents couch for less than twenty dollars. People throw out recliner chairs and couches just like this because it would cost a small fortune to have it repaired elsewhere. Not to mention having to transport it to and from a repair shop. Even if you try and cannot do it you can always return the new one for a refund. It's really worth the effort to do it yourself.

Bought 2 (one as a spare) to replace a broken one from my reclining couch. Installation was super easy. Removing the old piece was slightly difficult as the hook of the old cable was stuck but that's on my end. Once I managed to remove, it took less than 5 minutes to put the new piece in. Works perfectly.

It fits, it's exactly the same as the original. It works. I need to say no more. Fix it , it's cheap and easy (takes about 15 min. To change)

This was easy to install as long as you can get the original screws out of the chair. (don't strip them) The product was installed during a TV commercial break. just install it exactly as the original is installed. Don't remove the existing until you have the new one in your hand!!
