Shakti mat wannabe
I have used shakti mat in the past, and thought on giving this a try. This is plastic, and has zero pressure points. I would recommend to look elsewhere

Flimsy Foam, not worth it
It sort of works if you roll it up and press your back against it very hard …. But because the foam is very sparse and soft and not dense , it’s hard to use it. Too expensive for it’s quality.

I’ve purchased this acupressure mat set three times because it’s the only thing that consistently calms my nausea. I’ve struggled for years with severe, cyclical vomiting—multiple hospitalizations, every test under the sun (MRIs, CTs, scopes, labs), and a long list of meds including ondansetron. A neurologist recently connected my symptoms to vagus-nerve dysregulation (my body living in “fight or flight”). When a wave of nausea hits, lying on this mat flips the switch: my body relaxes, my stomach settles, and the urge to vomit fades—often within minutes. Why this one works for me: Even, firm pressure from the discs—no flimsy spots—plus the included neck pillow hits the upper back/neck where vagal stimulation helps me the most. Large size & carry bag make it easy to use at home or bring along. Durable and easy to clean; mine have held up through heavy use. I’m not into mystical explanations—I’m a “show me the evidence” person—but the vagus-nerve link between the brain and gut is real, and acupressure is a simple, drug-free way to tap into the body’s “rest and digest” mode. For anyone dealing with nausea, anxiety, or that wired-but-unwell feeling, this has been genuinely life-changing. I’d gladly pay 10x the price for the relief it gives me. Of course, talk to your doctor—this is just my experience—but if you’re desperate for something that actually helps, try this mat.

Apenas lo adquirí, se me hizo bien vs el precio, esperemos que no se rompa rápido porque si luce muy endeble. Al momento pues no puedo dar muchos beneficios porque apenas lo empezaré a usar. Si lo aguante por 10 min

It does exactly the same job and this one is much cheaper. Used everyday for about a month nothing is broken. Now the million dollar question: "Does it work like make you relax and etc?" Well... personally I would say it work(ish) a bit on me. It is not gonna be like a "WOW" thing but gradually, if it works for you, you will feel a sense of very subtle calmness and 'feel good' after 20 mins of use. BUT.... nothing comparable to after jogging or doing an hour of walk which is much more intense. As I said, work(ish) for me so I hope it is the same for you but don't exact a miracle. I love to put on 20mins of distant thunderstorm background sound and turn on the alarm on my phone. If the first few times it hell for you, don't give up for it will get easier after a week or so.

I wish I’d bought this years ago. I have struggled with back and neck pain since a car accident in 2006. I’ve tried tons of gadgets, most ended up collecting dust in my closet because they just didn’t work. I have found acupuncture to be effective, but it’s expensive and difficult to find the time in my schedule. I bought this after eying a much more expensive version for months. I figured, at this price, what do I have to lose? I was apprehensive about using it the first time because those little spikes are sharp! I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really didn’t “hurt”, it mostly felt like a sort of prickly heat at first, and then after a few minutes I just felt warm and relaxed. The best part is that, after just one use, a painful knot in my shoulder that I had medicated for a week was almost completely gone. I have used the neck pillow independently a few times, positioning it to hit spots where I’m having pain, and within hours of use, the pain is gone or significantly subsided. Unlike many other things I’ve purchased, I actually look forward to using this because the endophin-fueled relaxation is awesome. About the product itself- the construction and materials are fairly cheap. I could see how the cotton might stretch over time or the styrofoam inside the mat might break down. For the latter issue, there’s a velcro opening at the bottom where the mat could be removed and replaced. I do like the inclusion of a carrying bag, as I will definitely be taking this with me when I travel. Overall, for the price, I think the quality is as expected, and, frankly, I really don’t care because the product is so effective. I highly recommend it.

I love this! Great buy and it is the only item I have found that works on my sciatica. No crippling pain since I started using the acupressure mat more than a year ago. It is a little hard to get used to but once you get use to it, you will never be without it. It does work but you will have to upgrade once it gets soft.
