whats the difference between the 175 and the 175E?

The TL175 test leads come with 2mm diameter probe tips and the TL175E comes with 2mm diameter probe tips and also comes 4mm diameter adapters.

Can you remove the probes from the leads to attach Fluke alligator clips?

The AC175 Alligator Clips are compatible with the TL175E. These clips screw on to the probe.

will these test leads work with a fluke 73

Yes these will fit the fluke meter. Almost all meters have two sizes of banana plug sizes. The 4mm and then a miniature size. These banana plugs are 4mm which should fit in every fluke meter unless the meter has the miniature jacks which I highly doubt. I have not seen a fluke yet with miniature jacks.
