These card protectors are perfect for protecting my Medicare card. It's a very clear plastic that is thick enough to give the thin paper Medicare card ample protection. I've also used these card protectors for my drug plan card and my supplement card. And I also used the remaining ones for a couple of other paper cards that needed protection in my wallet. I found it interesting at a recent doctor's appointment, that the receptionist didn't have to remove my card from the sleeve to run my card through her little desktop machine that scanned my card. I thought that was a plus for these sleeves! They are easy to use, and it takes no effort to pull your card out of if needed. I just recently placed another order for an additional set of 5, since I'd used all of them and wanted to have more on hand. They are a winner for me.

It is annoying that in 2025 the government still prints Medicare and Social Security cards on cardboard. I recently replaced my Medicare card that had become worn and illegible after just a few years and wanted to find a way to protect it. Laminating services are expensive and seem like overkill, so I ordered these sleeves. Time will tell whether the printing will transfer to the inside of the clear sleeve or whether the clear plastic will get dull and foggy, but clarity is great to start with. My initial reaction is positive, except for the fact that the sleeve is just slightly too large to fit inside the credit card slots of my (man's) wallet. I can't really fault the sleeve, because it is only just big enough to contain the card. The size problem is therefore the "fault" of the dimensions of the card, not the sleeve. Until the Feds wise up and issue solid more permanent cards (like the private health insurance cards), this remains the best solution. I consider these sleeves to be a strong value at the listed price. Recommended.

Fits well. Nice and thick

It was not easy to insert my paper Medicare card. I was afraid I would accidentally make my card fold trying to slide it in but after being really careful it was in. I would have liked it to be a bit bigger.
