Really quiet and comfortable tire
I installed three of these 20X1.75'" tires on a Catrike Villager recumbent e-trike. Now installation requires a little experience but once mastered is not that hard. The secret is lube and SQUEEZE. Just a few drops of dish soap in a glass of water, brushed liberally on the tire bead with a brush. Getting the first bead of the tire on the rim just requires a little pushing with your thumb AFTER LUBING. Then install the tube, inserting the valve thru the rim hole and stuffing the tube into the open side of the tire. Then, after lubing the bead again, insert the tire into the other side of the rim, starting with the valve and working around the rim on both sides. No tire irons are required but can be used. You will be able to get all but about the last 12", opposite the valve in pretty easily. Then it gets difficult. Now listen up... SQUEEZE the sides of the tire along the entire seated portion to move the beads into the center of the rim, not on the bead area. Then pushing/rolling with your thumbs get more of the bead into the rim. Then repeat, SQUEEZE and push. A little more will go in. Now for the final 6", SQUEEZE again to ensure that all the bead in in the center of the rim, lube the final area gain , and grasping the tire with your hands, roll the rest into place. Don't just use your thumbs, grasp the tire and roll it over the rim away from you. You are actually twisting the tire over the last portion of the rim. That is it. Takes a little practice, but if you do not do the SQUEEZE part it is almost impossible. With it, it's pretty easy. You see, the center part of the rim is smaller in diameter than the bed grooves, get the bead into that and it will go on. If you don't, it won't. Great tire, very quiet and smooth, low rolling resistance and pretty comfortable at 60-65 psi.

Excellent tires.
Great tires from a quality manufacturer. Just love Schwalbe tires for our bikes. Prefer this brand over others. The marathon line hold up well over time.

Has prevented flats so far
I bought the Marathon Plus because last summer I had at least four flat tires during rides. Since putting the Marathon Plus tires on, I've ridden 300 miles (a few of those rides on the same trail that gave me multiple flats last year), and so far so good - not a single flat. This morning I rode in the "Tour de Belt" event around Harrisburg, PA, and when I got back to my car I discovered the pin (or whatever it is) pictured with this review embedded in my back tire. It was in there so deep that it broke into two pieces as I tried to pull it out. The pointy end of the little hooked piece was at least half-way into the tire. I got it out and, as far as I can tell, the tire's fine. The tube was undamaged. I should mention that those who say these tires are hard to get onto the rim aren't kidding. I was expecting it to be difficult, and it was even worse than I was expecting. Took quite a bit of struggling. But if I can get them onto a rim, probably anyone can. Also, these tires are noticeably thinner and harder than my previous tires, so the ride has gotten a good bit rougher and it took me a while to adjust going around curves, especially in gravel. But considering that the tire survived being stuck with that pin that would have easily flatted my previous tires, I can live with a slightly rougher ride.

bombproof
I've run these for the last 5 years on my commuter (700x35). 0 flats, 0 punctures. These laugh at road debris - and my commute is through an area that has been in constant construction for the last 5 years. From airport repairs to a myriad of warehouses being constructed. I ride every day, leave these out in the Texas heat all day, they just keep on delivering the goods. These aren't the easiest tires to mount - but they are worth the effort. BTW, I'm seeing people saying they can't mount these. I mounted them with my thumbs (took about 10 minutes) - but admittedly had some serious cramps afterwards. Would I do that again? You bet I would, gladly. Though I'd be a little smarter next time. 5 years later they look like they can go another 5. They are the rare product that delivers in spades on what they say they offer.

Strong and solid tire that fits my foldable bike.
This has been a great tire for my foldable bike. It is a strong and solid tire but it does weigh more than other similar tires that fit my foldable bike tires. I would buy this tire again and I have bought it a couple of times already.

No Flats BUT Top layer wears out prematurely
This is a very odd tire, no flats or puntcures whatssoever BUT it wears out very fast, and the side wall does crack prematurely.....Go Figure

So far, best bike tire ever!
I bought these Schwalbe tires for my Trek Domane 6 after having 4 flats in 4 rides on another brand (and multiple other flats over time). I ride on chip-and-seal, gravel, and hardtop roads. The problem comes from the highway shoulder debris where multi-belted radial truck tires have blown out and have strewn tiny, almost invisible wires that penetrate every tire I’ve run on multiple bikes through the years (I’ve had quite a few high-end road and gravel bikes and the results are always the same… blow out after blow out). Nothing worked. Not tubeless tires with all the gummy, messy glue, not other name brand “puncture-proof tires,” not Kevlar liners, not rubber liners, not Slime-filled tubes, not thorn-proof tubes… need I keep going? Anyway, I’m 6 rides in on the Schwalbe’s and haven’t lost a ride to a blowout. I’m beginning to believe I’ve finally found a workable solution, a tire that performs as advertised. And here’s an added bonus. It’s a pretty “tall” tire from the rim to the bead and it makes for a smooth, cushier ride. I haven’t had a chance to ride them in the rain yet but by the looks of the treads they should perform well under wet conditions too. So far, very pleased. We’ll see what happens over time and many more rides but for now it’s “all systems go” on my Domane 6 running over 20MPH. It doesn’t get any better than that.

These are among best tires you can get for commuters, fitness/leisure cyclists etc. they can last for years, thousands of miles and punctures will be very rare. They are heavy but good quality and the cost is covered by not having to change tires, inner tubes etc... Have been using them for years.

I ordered 2x20" Marathon Plus tyres for a fold up bike. If they are heavier than ́normal’ tyres I didn’t notice. I mounted each tyre in six minutes, by hand, no tools needed except two cable ties per tyre and tire levers to remove the old tyres so I don’t understand the scare stories about being hard to mount. I did a couple of test runs, about 20 mins in total and so far I feel no difference when riding between the old and new tyres. That was on asphalt. So looking good...

Ho acquistato nuovamente il Marathon Plus reflex, anche se è piuttosto costoso, perché il precedente ha resistito quattro anni senza una foratura. Spendo un po' di più, ma poi non devo dannarmi per riparazioni.

I have used this brand on a Brompton for years and never had a puncture so had no hesitation in using as a replacement tyre on my wife’s hybrid road/footpath bike.
