I bought these to tie down a junkyard hood after a dump truck backed into my car and pushed the hood and hood latch into the radiator. For 8 bucks, you get everything you need, just don't expect these to look nice on a nicer car. The pins, nuts, and bolts are solid, although I do see early signs of rust. Basic, solid solution to my problem.

For what it’s worth it was ok. High quality wire pins bolt and nuts. Screws were cheap tho. And btw everything on it rusts so DONT GET IT WET. even after drying with compressed air it still rusted.

Best hooks ever! These hood pins are to open and close the hood faster and easier in my race car. Secures hood and it’s safe. Very functional

These pins were easy to install. My Subaru Outback had obvious holes on the underside of the hood which happened to align with brackets in the engine compartment. Apparently, the car's designers had the possible use of such pins in mind. I got the pins because the original hood latch rusted out and replacement was going to cost over $300. However, after just a few weeks of snow and road salt, these pins are showing signs of rust. They are clearly not stainless steel. The small screws to hole the rings are stainless, but the pins and clips are not.
