Great little RF remote DIY skills required though!
I bought this to hack the power button on my living room PC. Which has worked a treat.I have basically connected the receiver up in parallel with the power button of my PC. I have powered it via a USB cable (not supplied) and USB power from my TV.You have to turn the TV on first to supply the power (you could use a USB power plug of course) I can then turn on my TV from the sofa. It works beautifully.Would I buy it again, definitely, if I have another item I want to remotely switch on via RF this is perfect.

Great little device but the instructions are totally inadequate.
Great little device but the instructions are totally inadequate. The remote has three modes - latching and momentary - and a third mode which involves button A and Button B but the remote only has one button!. To switch between modes you need to "connect the learning button" but there is no clue what this is and where to connect it. I deduced, from another website that it is simply a momentary switch which you need to connect to two solder points on the PCB (not identified). My photo shows the location of the connection points. Given that you only go through the set up once I did not use a switch but simply use a couple of multi-meter probes to make the connection for the time required. As there is no Button "B" simply leave the connection in place until you get the requisite number of flashes (see leaflet) and then disconnect. The identification of the wire connections is not obvious but the red and black are the dc supply to the device and the yellow and blue simply switch wires from the relay contacts.Without this information the device would be useless and I would have given it one star but having got it working it is a neat bit of kit at a decent price.

Not very responsive
I'm creating a little 5v project to use this as a panic button. The receiver is not very responsive all the time. Sometimes you have to hold on to the button for 3 secs before the receiver picks it up. Sometimes on the first press.

Seems fine. Wire up with care.
Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Don't do what I did - wrong polarity fries it. Instruction sheet is a bit hard to make out.

Compact unit Great value for money
Purchased it to control the main dc power supply to a robot im building and didn't want an external in/off switch. Very small and easy to setup on latching mode
