Replaced the cord the puppy chewed up. It was straight forward, easy install. I've had for a few month, no issues.

This works with my Peavey Vypyr VIP 1 and silver Sanpera I pedal. I have not gotten all the way into assigning the controller pedal to functions other than volume but I do not believe there will be any issues due to the cable.
