Why did you pick this product vs others?: The pump went out in my Koi Pond and it took three days to get parts to repair the pump. Unknown to me, a Parasite developed in my pond and killed out about $800 of my largest Koi Fish. I did an extensive search for something that would kill out the Parasite it took about two day to get this treatment in, and I was able to repair my pond pump while waiting. This product quickly killed out the Parasite but unfortunately my Koi were already dead. The container is not as big as I thought but I plan to purchase more to keep on hand should this happen again. it's a good and effective product. Functionality: It works! Fish health: All of my larger Koi are dead but what is left seem to be very good. Value for money: At first I thought it was pretty pricey, but was a site less expensive than the loss of my Koi Fish Safety: It is recommended to wear gloves when using but there was no problem safety-wise. Quality: It works!!!

I used the AquaCura Prazi-Med Fish Treatment, 50 grams, to deal with parasites in my koi pond, and it worked well. The active ingredient is praziquantel, which is known for targeting both internal and external parasites like skin flukes, gill flukes, and tapeworms. It’s safe for the fish and doesn’t harm the biofilter, which was important to me. I followed the dosage instructions carefully—one gram per 100 gallons of water—and spaced out two treatments as recommended. I dissolved the powder and added it near the filter outlet to help it circulate. I kept the pumps and filters running but turned off the UV sterilizer and removed any carbon from the system during treatment. The fish didn’t show any signs of stress during the process, and I noticed a clear improvement within a few days. Less flashing, more active behavior, and normal feeding resumed, which made it clear the parasites were under control. Just be careful with the measurements, since accuracy really matters here. Too much or too little can either stress the fish or leave the parasites behind. Overall, it was easy to use and effective, and I’d definitely use it again if needed. It is quite expensive, unfortunately.

This is a value oriented treatment for flukes and other parasitic conditions in your pond, tank or aquariums. I believe the value is excellent when compared to dead livestock. Keep in mind it's NOT for food fish or human consumption. It has very little effect on plants and scaleless fish, but always do a test. Snails and crustaceans would be the most vulnerable by Prazi, so definitely do a test. You will most likely need a second application to kill hatching eggs, so be prepared to do it prior to the effects wearing off of the first dose. Remove any activated charcoal or carbon media prior to use. You may also need a 50% water change between dosing. Prazi-Med name is the exact same thing as Prazi-Cura, so treat the same way. Aquariest always treat chemicals with common sense, with the environment in mind. Please don't treat where rain or run-off is expected while treating. This is one of the best, if not the best treatment available for parasitic conditions. Dose at 1 gram per 100 gallons, internal or external parasites. Please go to the manufacturer's' website for more info about the product and it's correct uses and precautions.

I purchased this AquaCura brand, Prazi-Med Fish Treatment, 50g This is a great thing to have on hand if you have fish. It covers a lot of things. There is no other info included other than what I pictured on the outside of the dark jar. You can easily find dosage amounts by an internet search. The expiration is for 2 years -expires in 2027. This is sealed with a foil seal, and the product is a powder form in a plastic bag. What I can say, is, this is a terrific product to have on hand for your ornamental fish, and would be a 5 star product if a dosage chart were included. I feel it's a fair value.
