Perfect fit and good life. Original battery only lasted two years so I can't speak to how long this will last. Dell design is the key to changing this thing. Some designs give you easy access but this one required removing many screws from the back and separating the keyboard and cover from the bottom part which houses the guts. Not an easy task. That said, the battery took a couple of minutes and was very easy. Replaced cmos battery and upgraded screen at the same time. Works great.

Bought this as my battery was ~5 years old and didn't last long anymore. This battery gave me the 3 hours of life back, and was great at first!9 months later, I only get an hour of the battery pack. It was not a slow reduction in capacity either, it was sudden. Worked great until it didn't. I'm little frustrated it died off as fast as it did, BUT the price was cheap, so there is that.I might try another soon and see it the same thing happens or not. Again, it was cheap, so set your expectations properly.

I have a 17 inch dv7 with a Core i7-3630QM CPU @2.4 Ghz – 12 GB RAM and this beast of a laptop sucks up the juice just as fast as it can get a hold of it. This Old but Reliable beast finally developed an issue with the re-charging circuit. Of course I would inspect the battery condition and sure enough that was the issue. I like many others have gone through the rig-a-ma-roll with HP seeking a correct replacement part and it is not pleasant at all. It’s amazing that company doesn’t come apart by the seams.But then Eureka!!! I find a replacement battery on Amazon.com. This Sletech Inc replacement model had all the right specs listed on the web site that matched the specs information on the bottom of my old stock battery. It took all but a minute to verify that this was my solution to my problem. The simple but important pictures listed on the website made all the difference. Something that HP can’t accomplish. So full Kudos to Sletech Inc.When it comes to the performance of this battery, I have to say that this replacement battery is better than the original battery that came stock with this computer. This company and this product are overwhelmingly deserving of a 5 Star Review. Well Done... Now go back to work and figure out how to fit nuclear reactor in to a laptop battery for long batter life (LOL - JK)

My laptop: dell inspiron 13 5378I purchased this battery after receiving error messages saying "critical battery failure has occurred. Replace battery." Something like that. But I already knew that since I was unable to go more than 10 mins before my laptop would go from 100% full to OFF. And it was getting hella hot during use while I had it plugged in.Got this battery for it, installed it, which was super easy. It was dead when I got it, no biggie, charged it for maybe 10 mins and then turned it on. It was already up to 34% . I unplugged my laptop and used it on that amount. It didn't even die before I plugged it in 2 hrs later as I was going to bed. Used it on a full chsrge for the entire day the next day! And I USE my laptop. I heavily use it. Writing, surfing, chatting, researching, online shopping and gaming usually all at once if not a smaller combination of them all. This battery is fantastic. I am no longer tied to a wall outlet and can use my laptop anywhere I want. It use to keep me from traveling with it but now I can whip it out in the car and I love it. Great battery so far. Hope it lasts. But even if it didn't last for too long, thr price is right and id probably buy again
