The Republic of Tea — HiCAF Caramel Black Tea, 50 Tea Bags, High in Caffeine

I recently started trying out various flavors of caffeinated teas, and this one stands out as a very good choice. While it has a strong enough flavor to be a drink on its own, I've found that it also mixes particularly well. The caramel undertone isn't overpowering, yet still strong enough to keep the tea tasting great. More importantly for me, however, is how well this tea does in keeping me awake. Fortunately, it does that quite well. It keeps fatigue and mind fog at bay, while also being smooth enough that I don't experience the crash that I normally do with energy drinks. I've been taking this tea to work with me and it's held up well. I can easily see myself buying another tin of this tea or possibly another flavor (to broaden my tea flavor horizons) from the same brand.

This is my go to tea! It’s a great caffeine alternative to coffee. I like to make a cup and add a little cream and sugar - delicious!

The caffeine is good, nice and strong. Like most tea the caffeine lasts longer than coffee, and since it's high caffeine it is pretty good at waking you up. The flavor isn't as nice and gentle as other teas, but that's because Caffeine has a strong flavor of its own. Use milk and you're good.

Delicious and not too sweet. The black tea flavor isn't overpowered by caramel.

This tea is a great option if you want something a bit stronger than black tea, but more mellow than coffee/espresso! I usually start my day with one or two bags of Stash Peach Black Tea, but some days, I need something a bit stronger. Drinking this tea is like turning the lights up on life! It's a great alternative to Smart Caffeine (caffeine and L-Theanine capsules). I'm sensitive to caffeine, so I don't want to take capsules that load that many mgs of caffeine into my system all at once. Sipping on this tea gives me the option to titrate the amount of caffeine, as needed. (123 mgs of caffeine, according to the packaging. See photo.) I can make a small cup and down it all at once to wake up, focus, and get warm, OR, I can sip it slowly and put my caffeine on a slow drip throughout the morning. The L-Theanine works. No caffeine jitters or crash. No problem going to sleep at night when I drink this in the afternoon. No caffeine headaches either. I can't wait to try the other flavors!

Very tasty tea! I bought this to replace my morning cup of coffee. I didn't have to add cream or sugar to this so it's a bit healthier. Doesn't necessarily taste like caramel but it does smell very strongly of it. Tastes more so like just black tea.

This is not a favorite of mine. It's all about taste, though. The smell when you open the tin - which is cute! - is very unpleasant. Maybe I'm just really not a green tea fan. It smells almost yeasty.

If you need a coffee or energy drink alternative, this tea will do the trick. This is probably my favorite of all their flavors. It's definitely not for someone with a caffeine sensitivity. I'd also urge you to drink with caution ⚠️ if you are taking any kind of stimulant. I can't drink this like I used to because of that.
