Been reading reviews of many futons and usually bad reviews are saying they don’t fluff up. Since there was not much of an option available the ships fast enough for when I need to use it, I settled on ordering the green one since it was the only one available, thinking it’s going to be covered with whatever bed cover I put on it anyway. I didn’t know that the mattress actually comes with a cover which is a plus. And yes, it comes with strings to pack the mattress and a storage bag.The mattress arrived pretty much on time and when I first got it out of the plastic, I thought they sent me a baby-size mattress (of course it seemed small, I haven’t let it fluff yet.) I took the photo of when it was just out of the plastic which is the squiggly mattress one. I thought they sent me a full size and I ordered a queen. I waited for an hour and it doesn’t seem to fluff anymore so I was panicking for a moment. But I thought to try pulling the seams to maybe make space for the foam inside to expand more, and that actually worked really well. I was able to feel the corners of the foam and tried to match it with the outer seams and eventually speed up the fluff process. I am sleeping on the carpet floor and the mattress is thick enough to be comfortable. I should add that my weight is around 175lbs so I can’t vouch for how it would feel for people who weighs more than me. I can still feel the floor, but not as much as the other floor mattress that are 2”-3” that does nothing, and since I’m on a carpeted floor, that might also help a little with the comfort. But this floor mattress definitely is of good quality.Con: Unfortunately it does smell of chemicals/plastic and you will have to air it. However, if you have the fabric freshener spray, that might help speed things up a little bit if you’re in a hurry to use it and/or have a room like mine where the windows don’t open all the way for air to circulate.I don’t wake up from back pain or shoulder pain and is able to sleep through the night so far so I would say this mattress is a great buy for me.

Its not very thick but its great. You don’t feel the floor. Great value for money.The storage bag is great for protecting and storing. You just have to roll it, use the straps to make it stay in place and put it in the bag.

I bought this due to limited sleeping arrangements at home, I end up sharing a twin bed with my 8 year old, and lose my spot the moment I get up @ night to use the restroom, and then I end up on the floor on a stack of pillows or next to my snoring partner. I needed something comfortable, offered some pain relief, and easily folded up, and transportable. Best sleep I've had in a while. The mattress is cool, soft and comfortable. Happy I have my own portable bed now!

My son and daughter in law have been staying overnight on the weekends and were using an air mattress. They both complained that their backs were hurting in the morning. I purchased this as something easy to store and supportive. They love it! They said it is as comfortable as their own mattress and it doesn't get cold like the air mattress. So I'm thrilled with it!! The sheet, pops off and it rolls up into its storage sack. Very easy to keep clean and neat. Love the quality. It's perfect.

We have two queen mattresses for RV and tent camping that are thin, but great for their purpose. They would take up a lot of space if only car camping. We just ordered a twin mattress and it is a different story. I don't know what happened, but I don't see this one recovering from how it was packaged. It has a very firm ridge line from where it was folded before being vacuum-sealed. I don't see anyone comfortably sleeping on it.

I looked at many Futons on this site and decided to buy one from Dr. Futon in a twin size for a house guest. We only used it for 2 days but I was told it was comfortable with an added foam mattress topper. It comes with a storage bag which seemed a little flimsy but the futon folded up nicely. The moment I zipped it up and carried it a few feet I heard ripping. It came apart in 3 different places. I had to put duct tape on all the rips just to carry it. I suggest you tread carefully with the included bag because it is not made to last and store your new purchase. Disappointing as it makes me not trust my Futon in terms of its longevity. I have already invested in a mattress topper, cover and sheets or I would have returned it. Do better, Dr Futon! Go the extra distance and make a durable storage bag.
