Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertised and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

The cast iron parts are OK
The 3 iron castings were good. Lead screws straightened in lathe with lead hammer chucking on 10mm part. Soldered on bearing flanges (washer) to lead screw and machined one face square to axle for bearing contact. These type of thrust bearings are lousy for radial support and cause binding no matter what. One bearing had wedge! Lapped Acme nuts with 320. Split one nut and drilled cross slide for set screws to tighten nut fit on both axes. The original grads were very unsatisfactory to me. Printed out 80 grad/rev drum stickers. Clear packing tape applied on both sides for .010" thickness. Milled .020 slot for index mark in aluminum and filled with black paint. Just subtract .001 for every turn in your head. Made t-nuts, but tiny clamping kit is from Ebay 3" rotary table kit. Nice and smooth now with finger tip turning and 18 hours or so dinking with lathe, mill, metal saw, paper PC printer. Old retired dude (ORD) project for sure. Oh, backlash is less than .005"~OK. Used # 6000r bearing. I just think it is management over there that don't give the workers time to do it right ever. Nice true casting machining worth the $90.

Table slide
Needed to be taken apart and cleaned out

Works fine, esp for this price. Requires some prep work after receiving.
If you want a simple work table to use, especially for your drill press, this is a great table to consider and purchase. I found it to be accurate enough for what I am going to do with it. Is this something to use a professional machine shop and for cranking out a ton of parts? No -- but that should be apparent by the price point. The table requires some prep work once it arrives. This is what I did: 1) Unwrapped and sprayed it down with brake cleaner to get all the nasty oil/grease off 2) Disassembled the entire unit and sprayed it down again 3) Took a wire brush to all the channels and guide areas to remove excess paint 4) Sanded down the top deck to make sure it was truly flat 5) Filed down all the spacers in the channel guides to remove any burrs 6) Took a dremel with a sanding drum and knocked down all the edges 7) Reassembled and greased the guides

Better than expected
I read the reviews on this and kinda excited the worst, I could see it was completely fixable. Got mine took it all apart and really nothing was wrong I polished it up a bit put a shim on 1 of the bearings and adjusted everything as tightly as possible set it up. Works really well only tried couple small things. I do wish it was a little bigger.

It's a not bad low budget tool, but you'll have to put in some work.
This isn't a negative review, just a caveat so you know what to expect. The good news: you're not paying much for this XY table so, if you're on a home hobbyist's budget, it might be a good investment. And it can be a pretty good addition to your shop if you're willing to put in some work. The bad news: Mine was pretty much unusable out of the box. There was about a quarter turn of backlash in both X and Y handles, the slides bound up at various points during travel, and the travel dials were mere suggestions. What to do: If you want to invest some time, here's what I did to make it usable. 1. Completely disassemble and clean it, down to every screw. 2. Deburr every machined edge - and they will all have burrs. 3. Remove the gibs and check them on a flat surface, then remove the worst high spots 3. Lightly file the dovetail ways to get off the worst high spots. 4. Lap the ways (gibs inserted) with 500 grit compound to improve the fit. 5. Reassemble everything. 6. Adjust the lead screw bearings to take up as much backlash as you can. 7. Set the gib pressure so that the X and Y handles turn with difficulty. 8. Tram the table top to your drill press to make sure it runs true in both directions. Now you've got a pretty good XY table that will do semi-precision work, and you got it at a very good price and learned a lot about tuning up machines.

Good for the price
Needed complete disassembly, cleaning and some filing which is what I expected. it's a lot of tool for the price. The travel is mostly smooth.

Funktioniert! Für das Geld ein top Arbeitsgerät. Wer im Hundertstel Bereich arbeitet kauft sicherlich keinen 80 € kreuzschlitten.

Cordialement
