The taste of these gells isn't bad and the texture is thinner than the icing thickness of other gels. You definitely get that hit of honey up front, followed by the after taste of whatever flavor you choose. I can't attest to how well they affect your energy because I've never experienced a noticeable "boost" of energy form any gel. I can say that I completed a long run with energy to spare. Whether that is attributed to fitness or these gels or a bit of both is impossible to say. I did not experience any adverse stomach issues or ill effects during my run however, one person did tell me they had. This is likely based on the individual so it's worth trying them. They are about the same size as the gels I Generally Use only the slightest bit longer. They fit easily into the pocket of my running vest. If you like the natural honey taste and want something that's a bit more liquidy and easy to swallow, these are a lower cost option that is worth a shot.

I bought these for my soccer player who could use a little boost in the middle of the game. They taste good, much like honey, and are easy to open and zip. She didn't notice a significant change in energy but I'm sure it helped some. I'm happy with this produce.
