Application was fairly easy. Some testimonials had me worried. Yes, there is a scent, but it is not the deal breaker that many purported. And yes, you will need to put in a little elbow grease, but really not much. I am very pleased.

This water repellent works beautifully however the for is so strong while applying. The odor makes it difficult to use as a spray. The odor goes away fairly quickly if you can just get it applied before the odor gets to strong.

Recently moved into a new home with glass shower doors that were in great need of hard water mineral deposit and soap scum removal. Wow! This product is impressive. I first used the Rain-X Shower Door Extreme Clean, and was followed with the Rain-X Shower Door Water Repellant. The doors are crystal clear once again. This product works so well that the water just beads right off! I also squeegee after a shower to ensure clear glass doors. This product is very easy to use too. I used a clean cloth to apply the repellant, and worked in smaller sections while applying pressure and moving the towel in a circular motion, as directed. I then waited about five minutes for a light haze to appear, and applied a second coat, as directed. Once the haze appeared again, I buffed with another clean cloth. Beautiful! Although the product scent and fumes is not overly strong, definitely use with an open window or fan running. Overall, this product works extremely well. I am very satisfied with the results, and how easy it was to achieve beautiful results.

I applied one shower with the car stuff and one shower with the shower version. This does exactly what it's supposed to do. It seems like a diluted version of the stuff you'd apply to on your car. That makes sense since showers have more glass. One thing to keep in mind is the car stuff came in a bottle while this came in a sprayer, so you should spray the cloth and not the shower itself because you may experience a burning sensation if you spray directly on shower glass... which is an enclosed space....

I would give this a zero but can’t. This product left streaks and the more I followed instructions to remove, the worse it became. I finally had to totally clean my glass shower door again to scrub the product off because you can’t just wipe it off with other cleaners. Also, this products scent is so strong, it made my gas sensors alarm even after I had applied cleaner to the shower door to remove the product. And it wasn’t my sensor because I moved a secondary one into the area and it alarmed. It is 30’ and in the hallway away from my shower. No, just no.
