Although somewhat pricey, this toothpaste does produce whiter teeth when used on a regular basis. I wish I knew what the whitening mechanism was, and if it's approved for long term use. It does not contain charcoal, which the dentist considers a no-no. It's not particularly gritty. It's thinner than some and perhaps a little less foamy. Although I don't drink cola, coffee, or tea, it seems that regular use of this toothpaste (especially after a pro cleaning) might be a really good plan. The active ingredient is fluoride, so it must have enamel strengthening properties.

I am LOVING this toothpaste.Let me first say that getting sand in my mouth makes my skin crawl.When I was a kid, I bit into a Cool Ranch Dorito that was half covered in sand while I was having a picnic at the beach. Sand kinda blends in with the spices on a Cool Ranch-flavored chip, and I didn't notice there was sand on it until I was crunching sand between my teeth. It made all of the hairs on my arms stand up.Okay, so what is the POINT of THAT story?This toothpaste also feels like sand on a Dorito but in the most PLEASANT way. There are a bunch of little crystals in it that if you gently grind your teeth together, you can feel and hear them. They're like a little exfoliator for your teeth!The crystals are microscopic, but they're there, and they're comfortable. They also don't make my skin crawl at all. They're almost massagey.My mouth also feels super clean after brushing.Also, I can't say for sure yet, but I feel like my teeth have gotten slightly whiter in the last 3 weeks. Could be a placebo effect but I'm smiling like I have whiter teeth.Hope this was helpful to somebody!

Love this toothpaste but since the price has skyrocketed I won't be purchasing it anymore.

I like to say I have impeccable oral care. I grew up not seeing a dentist and was made fun of for my teeth; something I really could not help since I grew up very poor with negligent parents. Once I was an adult and had my own dental insurance, I spent a few years investing to improve the overall health of my smile. These days, I floss and brush religiously; get cleanings and screenings on a regular schedule. And still, even as diligent as I am, it is possible to get a little build up between cleanings. I switched to this toothpaste shortly after my last visit, as I had samples and loved the refreshing minty smell and slightly gritty texture of the dissolving polishing elements. I bought the 3 pack from Amazon and will be using this from now on. It has been 4 months, and I do not have any signs of build up in my usual trouble spots. Teeth are bright and clean. Very pleased.

This toothpaste actually works the best. I have tried multiple teeth whitening toothpastes and Crest 3D White is by far the best. It actually starts working immediately and you will notice the difference in a couple of days of using it twice a day. The pack of 3 is a steal since we go through so much of it! I love the peppermint taste and it seems better than any of the others. I love how it makes my teeth feel super clean and fresh and the peppermint smell makes me more confident. I recommend this toothpaste 100% and it's the only kind I use!

My teeth turning stained from black tea and coffee. And my appointment with dentist 2 months away yet. So I got the Crest toothpaste. And I love it, it took away the stain off 90%, where I brushed 3-5 times a day. Now 3 times. The stain was in front mostly bottom teeth. I am not in dental work.
