Great saw!
I recently picked up this 6-inch Japanese pull saw and have been pleasantly surprised by how handy it is for detailed woodworking. The blade is made of SK5 high-carbon steel and came very sharp right out of the box. I like that it has a double-edge design, one side with 17 teeth per inch for cutting hardwoods and the other with 11 teeth per inch for softer woods. It makes the tool versatile for different projects. The beech wood handle feels comfortable and has that classic, traditional look that makes it nice to work with. One of the best things about this saw is how lightweight it is. I can work on small projects or trim pieces without my hands getting too tired. The cuts are clean and precise, which is exactly what I wanted for detail work. It’s definitely better suited for small jobs than for ripping large boards, but for its size it performs really well. You can tell some care went into the craftsmanship, the triple-ground teeth make for smooth cuts and a nice finish. There are a few downsides to keep in mind. The blade is flexible, which is great for precision but means you need a steady hand when working through thicker material. It’s definitely not a heavy-duty saw and wouldn’t be my first choice for big projects. The wooden handle, while nice looking, might not hold up as well as synthetic handles if you use it heavily or in damp conditions. And since it’s a small saw, you’ll want a bigger tool if you plan to cut large panels or thick pieces of wood. Overall, I think this is a solid little saw for hobby woodworkers or anyone needing a lightweight, precise tool for trim and detail work. It’s affordable, does its job well, and is easy to control. If you’re doing more demanding carpentry or cutting thicker materials, you’ll probably want something more heavy-duty, but for small-scale projects this is a great addition to the toolbox.

Very sharp tooth
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Japanese hand saw is an absolute pleasure to use. The craftsmanship is excellent, with a razor-sharp blade that cuts effortlessly and with incredible precision. It glides smoothly through wood, leaving clean, accurate cuts with minimal splintering. The pull-saw design gives great control and reduces effort, making detailed and fine work much easier. The handle is comfortable and well-balanced, allowing for extended use without fatigue. High-quality, efficient, and beautifully made—this saw delivers professional-level results and is highly recommended.

Good Saw
Blade is nice and sharp, cut through my pvc piping perfectly and fast. The blade is a little flimsy but if you are careful and pay attention you will do fine. The handle is comfortable and makes the saw cut simple, the blade is the perfect size for small projects.

Surprisingly good saw at a great price!! Highly recommended!!
I took a chance on this, since it was inexpensive. I was blown away by how efficiently it goes through wood!! I was able to trim down a fallen tree in minutes with this, down to the bare base of the tree. I also have used it for small woodworking projects. It will go through a 2x4 in under a minute, which isn't really fast compared to a hand saw, but, if this is what you have to work with, it will get the job done. This would be GREAT for camping!!!!

Lowkey a gem
Wow this saw cuts real good for being $5. I had my doubts and was ready to return it but successfully cut through a 2.5 in thick 2x4 plank with this, quickly too. Takes some getting used to most of the cutting happening while pulling but once you're in the zone it's really good. The construction quality is excellent for the price point and it's form factor/weight makes it effortless to saw with.

Excellent Tool for Precision Cutting
I bought this 6 Inch Japanese Pull Saw for a small woodworking project, and I couldn’t be more pleased with its performance. Despite being lightweight, the saw is sharp and effective, cutting through even tough woods like purple heart with ease. The wood handle is comfortable and provides good control during cuts, making it easy to get precise, clean lines. I was initially concerned that the smaller size might limit its versatility, but it’s perfect for detailed work and tight spaces. It feels well-built and durable, and I’ve had no issues with it so far. For anyone looking for a compact, sharp hand saw for woodworking, this one does the job really well. Highly recommend for both beginners and seasoned woodworkers!

It's okay, blade is very stiff... Not good for tight places for flush cuts.
It's okay but the blade is very stiff. I'm quite disappointed in how stiff the blade is. For the price it's not bad overall but not useable for my intended purpose. I'll keep itb as for small cut offs and maybe doing a quick tenon it should be good but was hoping for something more for doing flush cuts for plugs throughout my projects. As it stands this won't work for that unless they are close to the edge.
