Disappointed
Review – HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC (17-cr0000) I purchased this laptop in October 2023, and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. Shortly after purchase, the laptop failed to boot. I contacted HP customer support, they diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and extended my support by one additional year. However, the same issue occurred again, even though my usage is very basic—mostly web browsing and stock trading. The laptop is connected to an external monitor, and I rarely even touch the device physically. Despite this minimal usage, the system suddenly started hanging and failed again. When I contacted HP support this time, after initial diagnosis they informed me that the motherboard may be damaged and asked me to ship the laptop for repair, which would cost around $541. For a premium laptop at this price point, this is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, this laptop is not reliable, not worth the money, and causes unnecessary stress and time loss. A device that develops repeated motherboard issues under normal usage cannot be trusted. I regret purchasing this model and would not recommend to others

Great notebook
Beautiful computer. Very fast and I like the large 1 TB drive so I can store on notebook many files that I had to keep earlier on a back-up external drive. Touch screen works fine, but don't use much. One complaint is Windows 11. It scrapped my earlier Office pack that I installed on the new notebook and said I must now buy Office 365. I am puzzled because one reviewer stated that the same computer that they bought came with Office 365. Just adding some observations a few months later, not about computer but Windows 11. That aweful software has slowed my wireless country Wifi down from 30 MBps to 3-5 MBps. My old HP notebook still runs at about 30. I've seen on other reviews that Windows 11 does often slow down one's WiFi I've tried many solutions but none work. Too bad this otherwise great computer can't come with Windows 10. I recently did a complete driver update using driver scanning software. Download has increased to 30 MNps +.

Don’t waist your money!
Worked ok the first month. It was slow, but worked ok (Only use it a couple times a week), but now all I get is a black screen. Not a good computer!

HP is the best
A long, long time ago I had another HP laptop and I adored it. Fast forward a few years and a few laptops and I paid the extra money for the 64 gig 2tb computer. HP remains one of the best laptops and this one is no different. I have computer games and they play quite lovely on here. The laptop has a fingerprint reader which is a new feature for me. I use the computer for writing, web surfing and gaming. This laptop is just a silky smooth experience. If this is what you are using it for, I can’t recommend this computer enough. I’m in love. This has a touchscreen and mouse track pad. It has a separate numerical key pad and backlit keys. I bought a separate CD player because it’s the one thing nowadays most laptops don’t seem to have anymore.
