Seriously, I am getting up to flip switches (because I saw many of friends house using Alexa to turn the lights on/off), this thing is a game-changer. Slapped it on my wall switch pretty easy—no electrician, just stick it on and boom, smart lights. Now I’m yelling “Alexa, turn lights off!” from bed like some tech wizard. Works every time, no lag, and the switch flips smoothly without sounding like a robot arm. Way cheaper than buying smart bulbs for every room too.

Setup wasn’t the easiest at first, but once I followed the instructions, it was smooth sailing. Now I can control my lights from bed just by asking Alexa — pure comfort! 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 The build quality is solid, the app gives me full control, and I love the power metering feature. In Latin America, we rarely get to see our real energy usage, so this has been a big plus. 🙌🏼 For the price, the functionality and convenience you get are totally worth it. Definitely recommend! ✅

Matter was supposed to bring us the nirvana of full compatibility with all home automation platforms. Yeah... We're not quite there yet. It supports only two transports, WiFi and the newer Thread protocol. Bluetooth is only supported for configuration. So, when you buy a Matter device it's important to know if it's a WiFi or Thread device. A WiFi device like this one is likely to require a 2.4GHz network, so if you have a merged 2.4GHz/5GHz network it may require some gymnastics to temporarily turn off the 5GHz. And a Thread device will require at least one Thread hub, like an Apple HomePod mini, HomePod 2, or AppleTV 4k (128GB version only). The Amazon Eero Pro routers also provide that service. Scattering these throughout the house will help the otherwise fairly limited range of the Thread protocol. So, sure of myself as I have a 2.4GHz WiFi network dedicated to IoT devices, and knowing this was a Matter device, I attempted to add the accessory via the Home app on my iPhone. After repeated failed attempts, I finally downloaded the SwitchBot app and used it to connect to the device -- this worked without problems and let me connect it to the WiFi. Then I found out the firmware version was 1.2 and it needed an update to 1.5 -- the update worked fine, and then I was notified I needed to update to 1.6 -- again, it updated without problems. After that, I was able to add it in the Home app -- I guess they fixed a few bugs in the original firmware. It was very easy to install, I just squeezed it behind a double switch without problems and it's been working flawlessly. This is a five star product, however I dinged it one star because of the failure of delivering on the promise of Matter out of the box -- that was disappointing. Once you get it working, though, it's really a great product. Recommended, but remember, update the firmware first.

It works for me exactly as it should

I love this relay, it’s so worth getting compared to a single relay. I was able to use this and automate 2 switches instead of one and it snuggly fit into it my box without a problem. I also already have the hub mini so I could integrate it with HomeKit over matter.

Setup was pretty easy, as long as you understand how electricity works. Just be sure to isolate the SW wires (switch wires) as the phantom voltage/current can cause the switch sensor to trigger. If there a multiple switch gangs make sure the relay isn’t close to the other switches and keep the SW wires short. Most important turn off the circuit breaker before installing! 12 awg wire is too thick for this relay. I installed in a range hood and made it a smart hood that automatically turns on when the air quality drops.

**Background:** There are bathroom vanity lights I want to convert into smart lights so I can turn them off while keeping the lighted vanity powered. I could run the vanity all the way back to the switch, but I’m trying to avoid that hassle since it involves cutting multiple holes in the wall, and I want voice smart controls. I have done a lot of basic wiring over the last 40 years, including circuit breakers, all sorts of outlets, light fixtures, 3-way switches, and smart outlets. So, I have a decent skill set. However, this particular project confuses me, and I will not install anything electrical that I am not 100 percent certain I understand. **Build Quality:** The build quality seems good; I love the compact form factor. The material appears to be a decent grade electrical part. Bottom line is I will need to hire someone to do this project, and I would rather wait until I have a couple of jobs that need to be done rather than just one.

Very compact and great documentation, much easier to install and get it recognised than other similar brands I've experienced. In app experience was also far better than competing Matter relays. Has performed flawlessly and linked up with Apple Home and Alexa without an issue. Can't share a photo as is behind the light switch but have not had to take it out since installed almost 2 months ago. Great for those looking for a compact switch to control two lights with existing wall switches and wiring.

Llevaba tiempo buscando una solución de relé inteligente que fuera compatible con Matter y finalmente la he encontrado con el SwitchBot Matter Interruptor de Relé 2PM. ¡Y estoy encantado! La instalación fue sorprendentemente sencilla. Las instrucciones son claras y, aunque requiere un poco de conocimiento eléctrico básico, no tuve ningún problema en conectarlo a mis luces existentes. This nice little gadget is easy to install even for a not specifically trained tinkerers. You'll need a couple of suitable wires and wago connectors though. Check supplied video instructions, if you are not sure. It is likely to fit the space available behind your wall switch, but check before you start to avoid undoing it just to make more room to put it all back together.
