These deliver excellent value for high quality cedar shoe trees. They smell great and feel solidly built. The large fits fine in my 10.5 extra wide dress shoes. I’ve bought a lot of expensive cedar shoe trees in the past (Allen Edmonds, I think I have over 20 pairs of their dress shoes), the cedar scent was never that strong. With these it was pleasantly and noticeably stronger. I’ve always gone back and forth on whether I like the solid toe design or the split toe design. I think I prefer the solid toe. It has more surface area for all the cedar-y goodness.

I ordered a four--pack and two-pack of these shoe trees after having blown a couple thousand dollars on six pairs of lizard, ostrich, and crocodile dress shoes from Mezlam Warehouse (their online outlet store). I wear size 11.5 D "loafers" (they don't use laces, but all six pair look different and have names like "monk strap" or "horse bridle" or "penny loafer"), and I ordered Stratton's "large" size that fits 10.5 to 11.5 shoes. These come in a very nice box, individually wrapped in tissue paper. They smell great, fit perfectly in my shoes, and I cannot think of a thing they could do better. They even tell you which one is for the left shoe and which for the right! Excellent value for the money, they are designed to help my shoes retain their shape, and are very sturdy. I will die before these need to be replaced.

I have been an attorney for 18 years now, and as you can imagine that requires me to dress my best at all times, making sure my shirts and the crease on my pants are fresh, but that was never my challenge for me. On the other hand, keeping my shoes looking like new was something I was always challenged at, I would brush them and take care of them, but they wouldn't last more than a year at best two years. About 7 years ago one of my colleagues introduced me to my first shoe tree (brisker brand shoe tree) I didn't think much of it, after all, it's a piece of cedar. But I got to tell you! my shoes have lasted from 2 to sometimes 4 years when using the shoe tree every night. Due to my recent purchase of shoes, I was looking for that same brand which my friend bought me so many years ago, unfortunately, I couldn't find that brand anywhere (I guess the brisker company went out of business). So I went to our favorite shopping platform, I found the Stratton split toe shoe trees, which caught my attention due to the highly rated reviews, and the fact that its MADE IN USA! so I figured I'll give it a shot. (even though I've only brought in the past Allen Edmonds brand shoe tree). I love these shoe trees. I only bought one pair because I was skeptical that they wouldn't fit right (due to my narrow sizing). However, once I got them in my shoes, I saw that they were a perfect fit, and very well constructed! I bought the medium for my size 9.5 shoe and I couldn't be more satisfied. They smell GREAT, too! I will be buying two more sets for my two other pairs of dress shoes. If you're thinking it isn't worth spending the extra money to have shoe trees, you couldn't be more wrong. I can say that because I used to think the same thing. The fact is, for a small investment, these trees will help to dry your shoes out and help to keep them in proper shape for as long as possible. They will more than pay for themselves when you consider the extra months/years that you will be able to wear the shoes because of them.

These shoe trees are great! I've never owned other shoe trees, so I cannot offer any comparisons concerning quality, but these shoe trees are very high-quality, and I can't imagine them breaking in the years to come. These are well-made, and it's obvious that Stratton uses good materials and care when producing these here in the United States. As many others will note, these smell wonderful and do actually leave your shoe smelling nicer than when you bought it! These are also very easy to use. Even though they are spring loaded, the spring is the perfect tension to put pressure on your shoe while not being difficult to compress and slide into and out of the shoe. I had a difficult time deciding on sizing for these shoe trees. When I was ordering, there was no option for medium trees. The sizes I was considering were small or large, and there is a large gap between. Now, for some references. I ordered small, which states that it will fit sizes 7-8.5. The shoes I own are Nike Structure 18s, size 10.5, Nike Free Run 4s, size 10, Cole Haan Oxfords, size 9, multiple pairs of Sperrys, sizes 9-10, etc. While a medium shoe tree may fit my shoes best, I haven't been able to try that size as they were out of stock when purchasing. HOWEVER, the small shoe trees fit ALL of my shoes so well! Even though they would seem to be too small, they fill up each shoe with pressure on both the toe and heel of the shoe. There is plenty of length to fill each shoe, which is what I worried about considering the size difference. These trees would probably fit just as well in actual small shoes ranging from 7-8.5, but they work in larger shoes as well. Bottom line: if you are on the fence, you can order a smaller tree and expect that they will work in shoes a size or so larger! Basically, these trees adjust in a way that makes it hard to find one that doesn't fit. Overall, the quality of these is excellent, and I plan to buy more with each new pair of shoes in the future!

Great product. If you need shoe trees, Stratton is the best. Have them in all of my shoes and sneakers. Well-made and easy to insert into your shoes.

The cedar is lovely and the overall shape and structure is great, just as expected. However, I was surprised at their size. For reference, my dress shoes are size 16 US and in comparing these size XXL shoe trees to the XXL Allen Edmonds I have from other dress shoes that came with the shoe trees, these were smaller, and are much more comparable to XL in Allen Edmonds. When I put these in the shoes I bought them for, they are stretched out as much as is possible, and if I were to hold the shoe vertically, the shoe tree, will slide down a full inch. So although I will use them, I am hoping they will do what they need to. Results are to be determined. Update: Played musical chairs with my shoes and shoe trees and turns out that I've got a pair that these fit better in, still a little bit loose but not sliding down an inch like in the other shoes I had put them in. :)

Muy buen producto aunque difiere un poco la presentación, sí vienen marcados y el acabado en general es muy bueno, le faltan los herrajes, y el empaque fué muuy básico, bubble wrap y bolsas de nylon con cinta adesiva, me gustan mucho, sí las volvería a comprar, son funcionales y el aroma de la madera está increible, traen su lija para "reavivar" ese aroma. Las recomiendo!!

I have tried shoe trees from different brands over the years and recently a friend of mine recommended Stratton. I am fully satisfied and all the stars in Amazon speaks for itself.

Great investment to protect your Shoes. They are well built, great smelling, long lasting and they deserve every penny. I use them to restore my shoes while applying necessary leather restoration paste. Very helpful and affordable.
