You get what you pay for...or should I be the one saying this - I get what I pay for. Six months exactly. That's how long this part lasted. Ordered it Apr 01, 2025, had it delivered quickly and installed by professionally by a mechanic shop within 7-10 days from being ordered. It was okay initially. By July, the car would not get the "comfortable cold" a functional AC Compressor would. By Aug, you would have to be driving in motion on the street to have cold air. Don't come to a stop light though. Oct 01, 2025 - my girl wants to trade the vehicle. 2018 Audi Q3. Functionality has a short time span. I paid for the Amazon Asurion insurance. But what good does that do if the part that is insured, is physically attached to the motor with a serpentine belt that can't be without that part filled in to run the vehicle. The mechanic would not warrant the labor work if the part were to be a defective because I brought my own part into the shop - I mean come on its a refurbished AC Compressor. I was told by the mechanic, if the part goes bad, the shop will take it off at my request, but the labor work per-hour is at my own expense. So yeah, I can pay for labor once again to remove the part and make an insurance claim with Asurion through Amazon...and leave the motor without a belt or part because of the insurance claim. Good Lord this is a headache. The sad part is I knew this was going to happen because I had a refurbished compressor on a prior vehicle, and the exact same outcome happened. I am 0-for-2 on replacing AC Compressors with a refurbished part and it being a successful outcome. DONT DO IT unless you just are in a time of need for a temporary fix that is cost effective. I bought this because of the financial situation I was in, and the price of parts and labor nowadays, I was merely trying to cut cost for money I didn't have. I get it. I found a way to save money. I am grateful. God showed me a way. I assumed it was a permanent fix. But it is not. God gave me what I needed, when I needed it, for what was in my reach. Thank you, Father, Thank you Jesus. Father Lord, if in your plan, will you please send a more abundant blessing to overcome this Audi, this Q3, this defective AC overall, once and for all. Thank you, my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me for not being grateful.
