I bought this pizza steel to take my homemade pizza to the next level. My standard oven doesn’t give enough bottom heat, and I wanted a way to crisp the crust without burning the top. This steel does exactly that! This thing is heavy, and that’s a good thing. It’s solid steel, smooth, clean, and professional-looking. The quality is obvious the moment you open the box. On the first use, I got a golden, crispy crust and perfectly melted cheese. It cooks faster, which helps avoid overbaking the top. The size of my pizza is is limited by the size of my pizza peel. But that being said, if it's perfectly on this pizza steel. Moreover, the pizza steel itself fit in all three ovens I tried. Great balance of surface area without being oversized. It discolors slightly with use (normal), but it’s easy to clean. I just leave it in the oven full-time and don't have to worry about taking it in and out. Bottom line: This is a must-have tool if you’re serious about pizza night. Solid construction, great results, and totally worth the investment. I’ll be using it for a long time to come.

This steel works great for our pizzas. I live in Fl and have tried two outdoor propane pizza ovens. My living area is elevated so my back porch (lanai) is on the second floor. It is a little breezier up there so I was struggling with wind messing with my oven temperatures and flame. So I thought I would try it inside in my conventional oven and would try this steel. It works great. Just heat the steel at 550 degrees for an hour in your oven. Then reduce the oven temp to 450 when you’re ready to cook your pizza. It’s easy to learn to control for the crispiness that you may want. We like it so much that we bought two. So when we make multiple pizzas we can cook one on the top rack and stage another on a lower rack. This way the one on the lower rack can stay in the oven longer to get the crispiness that a guest may prefer. Good product.

I was having a house full of 8 year olds over night and thought it would be a great idea to have a make you own pizza supper, but to be honest, my homemade pizza never turned out all that great. After doing a bunch of research, I thought the pizza steel would be more beneficial than a pizza stone. While I can't compare it to a stone, I can tell you that this thing is awesome and pretty heavy. It makes really great pizza! From other's suggestions, I use Semolina and I've never had any issue at all with pizza sticking to the steel. I crank my oven up to 500, preheat the pizza steel for 30 mins or so, and slide the pizza/stromboli on the steel. A pizza is done in 8-10 minutes and it honestly tastes just like a pizza shop. I was hesitant to spend this much on a chunk of stainless, but I do not regret it one bit! Totally worth the price if you enjoy homemade pizza and stromboli!

Steel is fine, but it arrived with this weird brown geometric pattern on both surfaces. I think it was because the package got very hot in transit and the plastic wrap stuck to it in an irregular fashion making the surface coating rip off when I took the plastic off. Update: I posted a negative review, however, the company was extremely responsive and they went overboard to make sure I was satisfied. In the end I received a new sreel that was in good condition, and my review was changed from one star to five stars. This company is excellent to work and I highly recommend this pizza steel.

Gives a good even bake. Should’ve got a little bit bigger of one though but that’s on me.
