Shortly after getting my Switch at launch I got a hard case for it that has a carry handle, a mesh pocket that fits accessories like Joy-Cons or earbuds, a flap with game card slots and elastic bands to hold the Switch in place, then a zipper to close it up. I almost never use that case because it's really thick and makes carrying my Switch around heavier, and it's cumbersome to remove the Switch.This case by Pro Case is exactly what I realized I really needed. I usually bring my Switch with me in the car when I go out driving for Lyft and Uber for those times when I'm just taking a break between rides. I keep it in the glove box, and there's not much room in there, but I wanted my Switch to be protected. So I decided to get this new case because with the flap opening it's a lot quicker to get the console in and out compared to a zippered case, it still has a few game card slots, and it's so soft on the inside, with a nice material on the outside as well. When I put my Switch in it I feel like I'm tucking it into bed. The materials and design look like it was hand-made, but by a professional. I also like the look of it, it doesn't look like an electronics case. If someone saw it sitting on a table in my house they would have no clue that it has anything to do with gaming. I'm an adult who likes to play Nintendo games, and with this case I still feel like an adult walking around with it, like a gentleman.

I had a choice between this case and one that form fit my Switch in a way that held every button and joy stick in place perfectly. I have a relatively full work bag that I bring with me on a train ride to work a few times a week and sometimes I'll want to bring my Switch to play a game on the train. My concern is a case that doesn't adequately protect the joysticks and lets them move in and out of position potentially causing damage.This case is a perfect compromise between looks and functionality. It looks like a suave professional's little pouch case for important business things but then there's a party on the inside in the form of a Switch. So long as I put it in a secure spot in my work bag and don't crush it then the joysticks and everything else will be protected well and won't move. The addition of elastic slots for multiple game cartridges is a nice touch too.If you're travelling and this is in checked luggage or has the potential to bounce around your screen will be fine but I wouldn't expect the joysticks not to move about at least a little. But if you have it in your posession and it's packed neatly in a way that you won't be putting weight on it then it'll be fully protected and you have nothing to worry about. The screen itself is the thing I worry least about with this case. It's just the joysticks I worry about. And even then I don't even know if it's all that bad for them to be moved around while the unit is off. It's probably fine but I just don't like the idea of that happening.Anyway, for my use case which is commuting to work by public transit, this is a great and stylish find.

I can’t believe how much I like this case. I’m a picky visual designer and I really care about craftsmanship. I gotta say I can’t find fault with this in any way. I was pleasantly surprised that the button for the latch is actual wood, not painted plastic.The inside is lined with microfiber, and it fits a Switch perfectly. It’s not too big or too small. The stitching is precise and the game card holder you see when you open the flap is perfectly centered and level.Given the price I genuinely expected this to be at least somewhat second rate with a minor imperfection or two.That being said, it’s a good soft case but can’t offer as much protection as a hard shelled case, but those cases are are big. I already have the super thick padded Nintendo branded one for traveling but I wanted something simple I could toss in my day bag or even in an oversized pocket I have inside my jacket. This looked sleek so I got it even though it didn’t include 2 day delivery (that might change by the time you look at this).I am beyond happy with the purchase. I’m surprised it didn’t cost twice as much, if I saw it in a store before I purchased it I’d have easily spent $30.

This is a pretty good product and I was immediately impressed upon seeing it. The materials used are a good quality and the extra game slots hold the cartridges very securely so I'm not worried about them falling out unlike other cases I've used. I bought this because I wanted a case for my switch that looked stylish but would also be able to protect my switch. It may not be as protective as harder cases, but that personally doesn't concern me since I'm very careful with my products anyways. If you're prone to dropping or accidently squishing your devices I'm not sure if this case is for you. The inside is lined with a soft material so you don't have to worry about scratches on the console or the screen (however it's always recommended that you use a screen protector anyways). The reason why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that the button that holds the case shut ended up popping off. There wasn't a lot of string used to keep it in place, but it was an easy fix and I just sewed it back on, since it wasn't a big deal and I didn't lose the button. Overall I'm very satisfied and I would consider buying this again for a friend as a gift.

What I was looking for? A case for me to take my switch with me that didn't take too much space in my bag.That's what I got, the case is soft, and lined inside to protect the switch. Great to throw in my backpack or under my arm to head out. It can fit the joy con wrist straps in the case, but there isn't a great spot for them. I wish there was a better spot for them. But the switch alone fits great. I like the wood like button fastener. It is a cute and practical case.Why I picked this over other cases? This one doesn't really look like a switch case, other cases just scream I AM A SWITCH CASE, this is more discreet.
