I can't tell you the incredible value this device has to me because of it's small stature and it's ability to go undetected. It has revealed to me very personal information that has gone a long way to bring to light infidelity, scandel and horrible lies in a public school system involving my ex and the school janitor! This device has been the only thing bringing me the truth in a dark time in my life. I purchased this thing to do a job, and the job it did was flawless! Got the horrible, heartbreaking answeres I needed, but wish I could forget. This product saved my sanity and brought some closure to me and a heartbroken woman with 3 kids on the filthy little janitors end.

Important setup information: when you edit the RECSET.txt file you have to save-as and change to UTF-8 other wise it will continue to record at factory defaults. It populates with a bunch of Unicode that doesn’t match anything of what you think it should see attached pictures. The directions for this are not clear and you can’t find it anywhere. Also if you go to view>show>hidden items it will display .LIB and .PL files. Those are only there initially after you change from UTF-16 LE to UTF-8 they won’t appear anymore. The device works fine as others have noted when you have it on voice activation it can chop off some conversation. Be aware of background noise it can cause it to record and distort the audio. I’d recommend Audacity as an audio editor you can”cleanup” some recordings. I’d also highly suggest downloading testdisk 7.3 it’s free and safe and will recover all deleted MP3 or text files from the device before you use it by running qphotorec. It can also recover if a file accidentally or on purpose gets deleted just don’t use the device until the data is recovered. The manufacturer claims that the device may get accidentally turned on in the manufacturing process. I had a bunch of Chinese audio on mine.

Garbage!!! The voice activation is horrible, only picks up random noises. Does not record immediately jacent conversations. Gives audio files that are almost blank.

I like the size but it stops recording . Mine only worked twice and now it’s not recording .

This is small, which is great. My problem, and it could very well be just me, is it doesn't allow you to fast forward or rewind. I did not download it on my laptop but tried listening to my recordings with the earbuds provided. It is very sensitive and picks up everything, not just voices so I was having to listen to hours of drawers closing, telephones ringing, doors opening and closing etc.... I would like to find a recorder that can distinguish between voices and all the other noises. This is not that recorder. Maybe one doesn't exist either. Battery life is long, setting it up was pretty easy.
