Olympia U.S.A. Deluxe Garment Bag

After about 2.5 months of use (maybe one flight every 1.5 weeks), the seams on this bag have begun to come apart. Not only on the inside, but on the outside as well. So far, I've counted up to 3 rips / tears, one even on the outside of the bag where you would expect it to be significantly stronger.I love the form factor and space management, but the quality has a LONG way to go which makes it un-useable and why I'm giving this a 1 rating. I'll be out of a bag within a few months or so.Update:After about 3.5 months, the zipper no longer works. Also, the Olympia wants $10 for me to cover shipping charges of a replacement bag.Ridiculously bad quality.

I received the Olympia Garment Bag last week and used it for the weekend. I thought the bag was great due to the many pockets, great price, and seemingly sturdy material.Today I packed the bag again to go to a wedding this weekend, and I've already notice that one of the seams has ripped. I knew this wasn't going to be the highest quality bag due to the price, but I assumed it would well for at least the first year or so. The product does have a good warranty, but it's a pain for me to coordinate the shipping back to the manufacturer. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this bag.

I bought this bag to replace an aging Samsonite garment bag. The Samsonite is still in great condition despite being nearly 30 years old; however, it lacks many of the pouches, zippers, and other accessories a newer bag has. I purchased this bag when I'm traveling and not taking another carry on. I wanted something that I could put an extra pair of shoes into, toiletries, and some other misc. items. This bag works great for that. The cost is fantastic and over two trips it has held up great. My biggest complaints about the bag is its hanging mechanism, how you hang clothes inside of the bag, and the mediocre quality. The hanging mechanism, when you're used to a nicer bag is pathetic. It is a reinforced hanger that you can attempt to hang the bag in a closet with. If you have more than a few shirts the hanger will not hold the weight. [...] I found this product completely changed my opinion of the bag. It is sturdy, allows me to hang the bag on a door, and lets me get rid of that hanger. The other complaint is with how clothes hang within the bag. You need to put hangers through `loops' of material. Again, I'm used to a higher end bag that has better mechanism to hang clothing. With regards to the build quality, I'll forgive it given the price, but it is a tad below what I'd like. All in all, I'd recommend this bag to someone, especially if you get the hook.

It's a nice garment bag for this price but the quality could be better. The first one ripped at the stitching within 2 weeks. I received a replacement without problems which I used about 4 weeks now.I don't see any sign's of wear yet. The bag has many nice small features, small pockets.

I bought this two years ago and I think at that time I got it for $35. At the time the reviews were mixed (3 stars), but at that price point I thought it was worth a shot. The reviews are definitely more plentiful now, and they are pretty good.Why I chose this bag?-sick of using regular luggage and having to iron every shirt when i arrive at my hotel and just want to go to sleep. No complaints here. It is partially the art of how you pack the shirts/pants in, but without too much effort I have never had to iron the shirts or pants.-for short-haul trips where lots of luggage isn't needed. Great for one week trips where i am packing 2-3 work pants, 3-4 work shirts, and a couple casual outfits, socks, underwear, extra pair shoes, etc. Pockets are great for holding the toiletries.-wanted to be able to carry on. This has worked great for both carry on and checking the bag. I've never had a problem.Cons --after two years there is some fraying around one of the outer zippers. I am about to place an order for a replacement, because I don't want it to get to the point where the horrible happens...-the over the neck strap broke after only a few trips. One of the plastic connectors got broken from, most likely, a careless baggage handler. And if you think baggage handlers are nice to your luggage, there are some pretty great youtube videos that will convince you otherwise. But i digress.. I was still able to jimmy wrig the strap back on, but I just decided not to use it. I carry the bag by the handle most the time because it generally is not too heavyPros -It did everything I wanted it to. I have been very happy. Like I said, i will be buying another to replace the one I wore out. I think at this price point it is worth buying a new one every couple of years. I am afraid to go to any other bag because I fear I'll miss this cheap but dependable gem.

I am writing to bring to your attention the quality of this product. I bought it in April, but, due to the nature of this product, by which i mean is that it is not used daily, only when i travel, i encountered problems late.Firstly it does not prevent wrinkling of the suit. On the contrary, my suit got wrinkled more in it. Secondly, on my second trip, which was within 2 months of purchase, the shoulder strap broke off while i was carrying it on my shoulder. And I had to carry it in my hand the rest of the journey. The contents were one suit, one dress shirt, one tie, and a pair of dress shoes. I am surprised that despite all the positive reviews, this product could not last even 2 domestic air trips!I am amazed at all the reviews here which claim that they have carried 2 or 3 suits in it over multiple flights including transcontinentcal flights! For me one suit and 2 domestic flights were enough to rip it apart!Stay away, buy some thing better!
