Excellent product. easy to install. lasts for 10 years. price is reasonable. this alarm has 3 functions, detects smoke, fire and carbon monoxide. You need this in your home on every floor.

Perfect! Great product! Great Company! Only negative — The Detector wore out in a little less than 9 years — was supposed to last ten years. No complaints, though.

I ordered 3 of these upon reading description which stated the microprocessors prevent false chirping/alarms. Installed them and they began randomly chirping at all hours of the day. There was no fire (thankfully). The notification was not for carbon monoxide, just random chirping alerts. If you have a pet - and you leave them alone and this happens - it is terrifying for the pet. If you try to sleep and you are woken up with random chirping from several places in your house - again, annoying. I do not recommend this product and would give zero stars if possible.

This unit is one of only a few detectors which detect both types of fires and CO2 very accurately AND has a 10 yr battery. Detector sensors only last 10 years so it is a no brainer. very easy to install.

I got tired of replacing the 9-volt batteries in my smoke alarms and then just happened to read the reviews on this device. In addition to having a ten-year, tamper proof permanent battery, it provides warnings for smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide, meeting all modern code requirements. You can't go installing these on all floors in your home.

3 in one detectors. Fire, smoke and CO. No false alarms yet. No need to replace batteries bc they last 10 years.

This product ships with a built in battery, and a plastic tab that must be pulled out to activate the device. In some cases, pulling out the plastic tab fails to activate the product. No visible or audible indication is given to indicate the failed activation. You must press and hold the test button to determine whether the product is functioning. If you have installed one of these detectors, please use the test button to confirm that it is functioning. If not, the device will fail to alert you to potentially deadly fires or carbon monoxide conditions. Note: the manufacturer does not allow returns through Amazon, and requires you to ship the alarm back to them and pay $11 to send you a replacement. They do not acknowledge the risk posed by the device and appear unwilling to address it.
