Great product, price and 24 hour delivery.
Great product, price and 24 our delivery. This is a four- stroke petrol strimmer that I have used to replace a 2-stroke machine.Very much lighter and quieter and smoother to use. The quality of the product is vastly superior to the cheaper Chinese generic strimmers (52cc). The full harness is also great to use and has an easy release clasp. Delivered very quickly (24 hours) and I am delighted with the end product. Easy to assemble but suggest the owners manual is not that good. I looked at the video on You Tube which was much easier to follow. The only extra needed is 0.6 litres of 5/30 semi-synthetic engine oil and they provide a filling bottle to help you with that process.

Don’t waste your time, it will break.
Updated again down to 1 star. Hyundai, after some chasing, sent a replacement lower drive shaft under warranty. It failed again in exactly the same way after 30 minutes strimming grass. Despite still being under warranty, refund is not possible. The sprung bearing design that stops the drive shaft from rotating might as well be made from cardboard, it is a useless design. Iwehn it fails the whole drive shaft rotates. If I cannot get another replacement (which would probably also break) I will need to improvise sow form of repair.Original reviews: Updated to 2 stars (from 4). Original review below. Engine is running well after a full season of occasional use strimming an allotment and one significant outing clearing an allotment with the brush cutter. But seriously let down by the steel spring breaking on the recoil starter; which I mended myself, as I have yet to find the claimed UK spares network. And yesterday, the pop-up bearing, which secures the bottom half of the drive shaft, simply failed. No idea if this can be repaired or replaced. So the engine and other mechanics are let down by poor build quality. If used commercially, it would have failed in the first week. Here is my original review: It’s a great, reliable machine, well built. But why use a plastic bump head that is awkward to adjust chord, and in my case, broke because I didn’t refit it properly with the awkward catches and spring? I replaced it with a Hawks Head universal bump head, which is brilliantly easy and highly recommended. Together, they make a great machine!

Wish I'd read my own review before purchase - lol.
First things first this arrived much earlier than forecast and was well packaged. It's easy to put together; say 15 minutes and works pretty well. It's not totally vibration free but is better than a two stroke motor and a bit quieter as well. It seems pretty well balanced and the body harness is a great help.On the negative side when the strimming line breaks and need a new length I've had to (twice) take the unit apart and manually feed new lengths of line out; however it had been pretty badly wound on with lots of overlaps so that might be the problem. It doesn't mean the unit is useless just a lot more fiddly to get new line out.THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR :There's a great video on the Amazon page for this item where Adrian explains the build up and operation of this machine. Watch this; it's significantly superior to the Owners Manual you get with the strimmer which is pretty poor. Having watched the video before I even bought this item it made preparation and operation so much simpler; if I'd relied on the manual I reckon time would have been quadrupled. It doesn't come with oil. The recommended oil is a semi synthetic 10W30 which I didn't have in the garage and had to order so take this into account. Finally once you have fully assembled the strimmer go over all the screws you have fitted and double check they are tight; do this again after about ten minutes of operation. I had one screw on the cowhorn handle clamp came off and luckily I spotted it in the grass. This even though I thought all was tight (it's an M5 x 40mm if you do lose it).Additionally if you mount the brushcutter blade it's fitted with a nyloc type nut; usually these are meant for mounting an item you don't intend to shift but changing back and forth will eventually wear away the nylon part of the nut and it won't be as secure as first use so keep an eye on tightness at least prior to each use or, for a long day, when doing petrol refills.I'll update after longer use if I notice anything else.A later update - had a problem where the shield and associated mechanism to drive shaft came adrift. It appears that this is held on to drive cover tubing by a simple clamp of the sheathing by one screww so only held on by friction. There is a good chance of damaging the mechanism if / when this happens. I am going to look to see if I can drill and tap a fit which will be more positive. To be honest I'm regretting this purchase and wish I'd spent extra on a "known" make (how often have you read this in a review folks?).

Hyundai 31cc Petrol Brushcutter
item arrived well packaged and easy to set up. video on product page very useful . explains how to put machine together and fit either the line head or 3 tooth blade which is included. I set up handles too suit my stance and height, this makes using the machine more efficient and comfortable. On the first attempt to start I pressed the "bulb" till it was full + 2-3 more to prime. pressed the blue "choke" button. this was,nt necessary as air temperature , machine must have been warm enough. pressing the throttle trigger to cancel the choke I pulled the starter cord,[ remember red start switch on handle]. the engine started first "pull". always starts 1st, 2nd pull after that, [very "Soft" and easy]. really pleased with machine. It is also quieter than a 2 stroke. Powerful cutter, remember safety glasses, tough footwear. Sailed through grass edges round the lawn. my only grumble is the size of the petrol tank it could do with being bigger.
