Fantastic for Soil Blocking and Germination!
This seed starter worked beautifully for making soil blocks. The blocks came out perfectly sized and held together well, making planting a breeze.

Great indoor seed starting mix
Super light and fluffy, not a single gnat. Perfect germination rate for my seeds started indoors (spinach and scallion). All have moved onto their first true leaves and ready to be repotted. What more could you want!?

Pretty Good.
Pro: Some of my plants germinated beautifully. Con: Some of them didn't and if they did, it would be tiny sprouts. However, I would still say it's a pretty good soil.

Every product from this company has worked better than I ever dreamed.
I have no idea how to grow things. I'm just trying stuff and learning. Purple cow has helped me a lot bc they sell things that are formulated for ppl like me. Their stuff is all the fertilizer and stuff to make the soil hold the right level of moisture and all the things I'm very happy to let someone else have figured out for me, so I can just use it and watch things grow.

NOT good for starting seeds
It’s FULL of huge perlite and other chunks, exactly what you don’t want in a seed-starting mix since a tiny seed cannot push its way through such large obstacles. Requires heavy sifting to remove them (as pictured).

Will Come Back Season After Season!
Two days. All it took was TWO DAYS for my seeds to start sprouting. To be completely transparent, I did pair this soil with a bit of Brut Worm Farms worm castings.
