ECCO Men's Helsinki Plain Toe Dress Oxford

Great, stylish shoe is more rock ‘n’ roll than your standard pointy toe dress shoe! Comfort and quality.1st, the look: it doesn’t have a pointy toe. The Ecco Helsinki shoe is closer to a square toe and makes the shoe stand out among others. For me, this is a dress shoe that screams rock ‘n’ roll, rebel, all while having to wear a dress shoe. Something different. Goes great with slim fit dress pants or black jeans! 2nd The fit: I typically wear 11 wide US, even though I don’t have wide feet. I purchased the 11–11.5 D. The shoe was plenty wide enough and, as expected, slightly long. The fact that it from Europe ( typically run narrow) this is a wider shoe. Decent arch support, VERY COMFORTABLE!3rd, quality. Two months of use and no signs of wear. Durable leather that doesn’t scuff easily, stitching perfect and shoe does not squeak.For a guy that doesn’t want to look like everyone else, I love these shoes! I fully recommend this versatile shoe for its look, fit, comfort and durability!

My previous Ecco shoes bottoms are worn out by the crack of bottom. I ordered this new shoes from Ecco. This is as comfortable as before. I am always used Ecco shoes since it is most comfortable shoes that I had worn. When I saw the picture of the sole, it looks not authentic without any print on the margin of the sole. But it was no problem and I found that the sole print is different from made in US. It is made in Portugal and I think this one is also authentic shoes.

I've been buying and wearing laced Ecco Helsinki shoes for over 20 years and they've all been sized the same and have the same comfortable toebox and consistently high quality. The shoes tend to run a bit wide, which is perfect for my feet. There is virtually no break-in period required....the shoes felt like I've had them for months after the first hour of wearing.I wear orthotics and there's enough room for them after removing the included, well padded insole.

Tread could be more aggressive for winter. These are pretty smooth, but they are more dense -and last longer- than Rockport's current cheap junk. Years ago, Rockport used to be the best in quality, materials, and fit. Rockports still rule in fit, but they are junk. ECCO are now the top choice for folks in uniforms. But they are not really cheap ...and the quality is just OK. ECCO are better than the competitors, for now. Rockport has sold out its name for more profit: Cheap, foam-like soles and tread that wears through in a matter of weeks. Crappy, faux leather and plastic on the insides (Rockports). The ECCO leather is soft and thin, marginally better materials/finish inside: Fairly comfortable at first, but the tradeoff is that it stretches out over time and gives less overall support than thicker leather. A good looking, if expensive-for-what-you-get shoe.[My use is as a semi-pro work uniform shoe: A practical thrasher that sees high mileage and damage to the uppers in a matter of weeks. I buy higher quality -US made if possible- brands for other occasions].

I hope Ecco continues to make these comfortable shoes. I don’t want to buy anyone else’s ever!

I had another Helsinki style from 6 years ago and this is basically the smooth cap version. They break in very quickly and are extremely comfortable for the office. A light layer of Kiwi polish also makes them look very sharp, as well as protects the leather from water/moisture. They may seem expensive, but the injection molded poly sole lasts a long long time. I had my old Helsinkis for 6 years and I walk a LOT (Nikes will wear out in under 1 year for me, just being used in an office environment) and I still use the old Helsinkis for bad weather days. If I have to buy another pair of office/professional shoes, I will look to Ecco. I've also run with these (replacing the standard insole with an athletic insole) without any issues.

I am a professional pilot and I initially started out buying cheap shoes from DSW. After a year they would always fall apart. I'm on 2 years with my Ecco Helsinki shoes and they still look great with no signs of impending sole failure or any other flaws! These will be my go-to shoes the rest of my career!

I like Ecco’s. Nice fit and comfortable. Had to buy online as this shoe was 45 euro cheaper than in ireland.
