Bulb not included
Worth the money. It isn't great metal but if you're careful and don't scratch it during the installation it will look great and work fine. The instructions aren't great but it's fairly intuitive. I planned on using the cord. I recommend laying out the position by taking off the back plate and lining things up and drilling pilot holes, then screwing the plate in place and reinstalling the lamp over the plate. The holes lined up well. It took me a few seconds to find the nut that holds the shade in place but I did and the install was quickly finished. I bought a 40w replacement bulb in vintage style LED that was rated at 400 lumens. The 60w replacement bulb was rated at 350 lumens. Go figure. The fixture would do well with either. A 60w incandescent would be almost too bright. This is an economic fixture that has a good return on investment.

Fantastic!!
These lights are fantastic, especially for the price. We hard-wire installed them and put switches on the wall beneath them so they don't have cords hanging down. They are on dimmer switches and work really well for reading in bed or when you just don't need as much light. The swing arm is also great for reading or working in bed without disturbing your partner. They do sag a little, as mentioned in other reviews, but not enough to really notice unless you are looking for it. They seem pretty sturdy and the dark (almost black) color is beautiful against our wall.

Great price and product - hard to find plug-in sconces
I bought these a long time ago but only just had my contractor put them up on the wall last week. Because of this, I cannot speak to the installation of these, except to say that they were installed on plaster walls in approximately 1/2 hour.Pros:• will work with many decor styles• could spray paint or rub-paint to suit your colour scheme• very sturdy• small profile• clear cordCons:• no toggle switch on the cord, so you have to reach up and turn them off via a little round turn knob-which is small and awkwardly placed• the swing arm isn’t really swingy-if you want to move this piece around, you will have to tighten or loosen two screws to move the swing arm• the cord could be longerI decided to craft-paint my glass shades in order to soften the look-but the sconces would also look great left clear and adding an Edison bulb style.I’m planning on getting a plug-in adapter with a remote, so I can turn the sconces on and off via the remote - great idea if you’re using these as bedside lights.

great quality; great price, unique look
I really love the look of these! My apartment is lacking in overhead lighting, and I was feeling frustrated with using floor lamps to light the room, but limited because an apartment rental doesn’t allow for a hardwired installation of more lighting. I was happy to find that they were compatible with the Philips Hue Color A19 bulbs, and the clear glass provides a really nice way to show off all the colors, which sometimes get muted underneath lampshades. They were easy to hang (I just hung them, plugged them in, and set them up with my Philips Hue bulbs and bridge). The clear cord blends pretty well with the wall and doesn’t look sloppy, though I wish these came with cord clips to keep them in place. All in all, a good buy and I definitely plan on buying more to replace the rest of my floor lamps.

Great for renters!
My apartment has basically zero overhead lighting in the living room and, with vaulted ceilings, this was a great permanent looking option! Super quick to install and looks very simple and modern. One thing to note is that it isn't super durable if you want to extend it far or for some reason put weight on it. I don't expect that anyway since it was so much cheaper than other options. Also, I'm considering painting the glass since, depending on the type of light bulb you use, it can be a bit intense if you look directly at it. Overall, very happy with my purchase and will most likely buy a second for a more finished look!

Needs to be taken apart for perfect install.
Overall, I like this lamp. My issue is with the mounting hardware and the weight balance. It is so unbalanced that I was afraid it would rip out from the wall, so I ended up undoing the entire thing, installing the back plate, then putting the lamp back together on the wall itself so it wouldn’t pull so much off the wall. The glass shade is quite heavy and makes it difficult to move the arm without pulling it off the wall if it isn’t installed perfectly flush to the wall. Now that I’ve pulled it apart and installed it, it works okay. It wasn’t expensive and I’m happy with the look. I got a cord cover to make it a bit more streamlined at my fiancé’s request and now we are pretty happy with it. It’s a nice addition to our reading nook!

Easy, pretty.
I'm eight months pregnant and was able to install this without much effort. I just screwed it in where I wanted and shortened the cord. Just needed a drill. I decided to point it up because this remodeling show said it makes the room look taller and brighter. It is true. It is so bright and strong an beautiful at night. It has a cute little switch but I think I'll put an echo light bulb and just control it with my voice. This lamp is an easy solution to dark corners.

Looks good, Design flaw, really wanted to like it
Worked well for a little while and looks nice, has design flaw. The on off knob has a chrome button that that slides over top of the actuall working black plastic knob. The outside one has too large inside diameter and does not grab onto the real knob making it so you cannot actually turn the lamp on and off. Easy fix at first, i slipped some paper in between the two knobs to take up the slack, it worked well but after a few weeks it would start slipping again because the paper would wear out. After the 3rd or 4th time replacing the paper i got tired of it and put s dab of glue on inside of knob. Well now it toast, glue must of grabbed something else and button will not turn to turn on and off so its now broken. If the flaw wasnt there from thr manufactuer i wouldnt have resoroted to trying to fix it. So you might as well say it was broken out of the box and i made the mistske of not returning it.
