This HomeMall round cake pan is an absolute workhorse in my kitchen. As an avid home baker, I've tried many pans, and this one consistently delivers fantastic results. The first thing I noticed was the sturdiness. It has a good weight to it and doesn't feel flimsy or thin like some cheaper pans. This heavy-duty construction is the secret to its success—it heats incredibly evenly, eliminating those dreaded domed tops or burnt edges. My cakes now come out of the oven with a perfectly level, golden-brown crust. The 3-inch depth is a game-changer for tall, impressive layer cakes or for recipes that need the extra space to rise. Despite its dark aluminum finish, which promotes beautiful browning, I've had no issues with cakes sticking. A simple round of parchment paper at the bottom and a light greasing is all it takes for a flawless release every time. Cleanup is a breeze, and the fact that it's dishwasher-safe is a huge bonus for busy bakers. For the price, the quality is outstanding. These pans are a nice, heavy weight aluminum with a smooth finish that looks like it would transfer heat well, release cakes easily, and be simple to clean. They seemed like just what I was looking for...until I realized the pans did not have straight sides, but were tapered instead. Though the inside measurement of the top is 8", the inside measurement of the bottom is only 7.25". These pans are sold as being suitable for layer cakes, including wedding cakes, but the taper means the cake layers won't stack up with the desired straight sides. Oh, and the 8" parchment rounds I bought to use with them won't even fit into the bottom of the pans. I was very disappointed to realize all this, as the pans seem such high quality otherwise. If the tapered sides don't matter to you, I think they'd be great cake pans; and, because of the taper, they do nest one inside another for more compact and convenient storage.

These are now my go to pans for baking cakes They are great quality and perfect depth for layering cakes

They get hot very quickly. Used them to make flan and the whole dishe heated up with just the caramel.talk about even heat distribution !!! But man they worked so well and wear so easy to clean and dishwasher top rack safe!!!!

These pans flare out like a dog dish, you cannot stack layers of these cakes evenly. Completely useless to somebody who is baking a cake that needs to look good. The bottom is only 7 inches while the top flares out to over 8 inches. Not as described.
