Great for surviving extreme heat
Some people buy cooling vests with some misconceptions on their mind. Let me clear those up first. Cooling vests are not particularly comfortable to wear, they will not make you feel like you're not hot, and they are by no means fashionable. Cooling vests are not particularly useful to the average person. I'd recommend getting one only if you need to be in 100+ degree heat regularly, or if you have heat sensitivity issues like I do. Cooling vests are less about comfort in the heat and more about not getting heatstroke in extreme conditions. This is true of ALL cooling vests. With that out of the way... This thing is a life saver! As I mentioned just above, I have a lot of trouble tolerating heat. I barely sweat, it can be nearing 90 degrees and I'll be bone dry. But with this cooling vest, I can survive working even in extreme heat! Just last week it was no joke nearing 115 F where I live, and I had to walk a mile and a half in the sun. Without this vest there's no way I'd have made it. It was a miserable day, absolutely, but I'd have ended up in the hospital if I hadn't had this vest to keep my core body temperature down. Though there's no such thing as a comfortable cooling vest, this is one of the more comfortable ones out there. It's made of light, breathable material. The extreme V shape of the front allows women to wear it without issue, where other cooling vests just won't fit properly over the chest. How long this lasts and how well it works depends on the temperature and exactly how well your body can cool itself. In 100+ F heat the ice packs might barely last an hour, where in temperatures nearer to the mid-80s they can last 3 or 4 hours. I've found that combining this vest with a spray bottle of cool water to spray on myself, I can survive up to about 95 F as long as the ice packs stay frozen. Above that temperature, I can last a while but will need to take some breaks to avoid overheating. How long you can last and at what temperatures will depend on your own body. I appreciate that this comes with a little carrying bag. If you have any extra ice packs around (I highly recommend buying a few cheap extras), the little bag can help to keep your extras frozen until they're needed. Make sure to swap for new ice packs as soon as the ones you're wearing melt. Melted ice packs tend to insulate more than to cool, so swap quickly!

Worked well for horseback riding, even at trot and canter.
I was scheduled to ride in a horse clinic for a weekend with temps to be near 100. I am a senior and can't handle the heat well. I have had evaporative vests before and they are ok, not great and they wear out, losing their cooling. This vest did a darn good job for me, for the price. The ice packs stayed cool for hours. It looked funny to have lumps on my back but was worth it. I am small and took took it in a bit but no big deal. It was worth buying even if just for the one weekend. The extra ice packs are nice as well and so are the carrying cases.

Great for working in the heat. Materials a little flimsy
Pros: Working in the heat with the ice packs is awesome. I put it over a t-shirt, and usually I wear another t-shirt over it to secure it and hold the cold packs tight to my body. 2 sets of cold packs is mandatory if you're working more than a couple of hours; I appreciate that it comes with 8. The light mesh is great. It breathes and doesn't add more weight. Cons: Materials are all a little cheap, but the price of the item is low, so I feel like this it's a wash One of the straps came unraveled after about a month of occasional use. I'm just going to sew it back and not worry about it, but the elastic is the cheap kind that will eventually just lose all of its elasticity. If you work outdoors in the heat, or especially attic spaces (HVAC, etc.) you should try this out, but if it is really useful, you may end up spending more to get a better quality vest

Good, light cooling vest
This lightweight, inexpensive cooling vest works well for me. When put on partway through my yardwork, the vest let me work a couple hours longer than I could without it. The gel packs stayed cool for a long time even after they melted. I don't think the lightweight mesh material would last long if used daily, but it's fine for weekend projects and chores. The front pockets (see photo) are not stitched across the top, so there's a stress concentration at the top corners of those two pockets; I expect that's where it will eventually wear out. The gel packs are the same size as the pockets, so it took a little work to get them started into the pockets when they were frozen. The info card says don't make the vest too tight, but it does have to be a little high and snug to keep contact with your chest. Pay attention to your "body signals" the first couple of times you use a cooling vest, since you may get dehydrated without noticing, and don't drink plain water! There may be better cooling vests, but I give this one 5 stars for what it is.

Definitely helps
Bought this for my husband who works out in the heat a lot. We live where it’s very hot and humid in the summer. He has recently begun to suffer from heat rashes, and this helps him tremendously. He loves it. It’s lightweight and he says comfortable. It stays cool for about 3 hours. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I feel it’s way overpriced, but couldn’t find anything cheaper that I thought would hold up. Not sure how long the cooling packs will hold up, but I figured I can replace those with better ones if necessary. Also thought it should come with replacement packs, but it doesn’t. The replacement packs offered are WAY OVERPRICED! I’m sure I can find suitable ones elsewhere. We’re keeping it because it helps him in the afternoons when it’s hottest, but it could be less expensive. I know it didn’t cost almost $70 to make! Sure hope it holds up.

Chill packs are terrible.
The mesh vest was acceptable. The chill packs were terrible, hard to fill, one was filled with half the amount and it swelled up more than the a full filled one. Some how air got caught in the bag and I was unable to smooth it out. Full fill ice packs are to bulky to use, they fall out of the pockets. I substituted some old gel packs.

Causes extreme pain in chest as packs can't be evenly distributed, only around your heart and stomach. Pack guidelines are not clear at all. The best feature is the bag that does help keep things full, but otherwise I would avoid this. I was unable to fursuit for any longer than normal in the suit

Pour un usage moto, sous le blouson avec la dorsale,c'est un peut encombrant.Surtout au niveau dorsale supérieure.Sinon niveau rafraîchissant.C'est un petit plus mais ne pas en attendre une grande sensation de fraîcheur.

Straps actually ripped off the vest with no pressure. Not fit for the purpose. Straps basically just disintegrated. Very cheaply made.

Quality isn’t that good for the price, I’m mean it’s ok but you can tell the quality isn’t very good and it’s small thought it would make bigger.. wouldn’t purchase again
