Updated thermostat for ceiling heat
We have the ceiling radiant heat and had the original 1970s thermostats. I wanted an updated look and these worked great. They look good and are very easy to install(5 minutes). It is only two wires and two screws. My only gripe is that for the price (which is pretty high for a basic thermostat) they should include two wire nuts that are mandatory for the install. I have never purchased any electrical component that requires wire nuts and they are not included.

These thermostats are accurate
I have lived with inaccurate thermostats for 20 years and became used to it. In August, I discovered a baseboard heater was turned on and fighting my air conditioner. The old thermostat was set to 58 degrees. It turned on the baseboard at 70 degrees -a 12 degree error. How long has this been happening? I purchased 10 of the Honeywell thermostats and replaced all the old thermostats in my house. It was a simple task, and the cost was very acceptable. Fancy or high tech is not for me. Accuracy is not negotiable. I have peace of mind that my baseboards will not fight my AC.

Good thermostat while it briefly worked - needs calibration instructions
We needed this for a new installation of a Cadet 4000 watt Compact Twin wall heater. Due to the high wattage, this is one of the few thermostats that will work. We wanted something very simple and non-programmable so this fit our needs perfectly. Now that it has been cold here for a while we've had a chance to use it over a period of time and find that it does a good job maintaining the temperature in our insulated garage. I like it because it seems to be well made and should be very reliable. I can set it and forget it and the heater cycles on and off as needed to maintain the temperature, without the worry about programming or a power interruption messing up the settings. It looks very nice too! The only negative was that it was not calibrated quite right and there were no instructions provided on how to calibrate it. I was fairly certain that there must be a way and after looking at it I figured out how to do it. The temp setting dial can be removed from an inner dial that actually controls the temperature. To calibrate: 1) Turn the breaker off during this process so your heater isn't turning on and off. 2) measure the room temp with a trusted thermometer. 3) Turn the temp dial down until thermostat is off (listen for 'click') 4) Slowly turn temp dial up and stop right when you hear the click again (this would be the on point). 5) Compare the setting with the current room temp; if it's off by more than you'd like, remove the front cover and then you must carefully pop the outer dial off of the inner dial (try to keep it in the same relative position so you will have a reference point as to where is was.) Note that the outer dial is slightly larger than the inner dial, so carefully pull the outer dial by it outer edge. Once you've done this, do one of the following: 5a) If setting is higher than the room temp, rotate the outer dial counter-clockwise slightly and snap back onto the inner dial. 5b ) If setting is lower than the room temp, rotate the outer dial clockwise slightly and snap back onto the inner dial. 6) Repeat step 5 above until you get the results you're looking for. It should also be noted that these things have a 3-5 degree 'swing' between on and off, so take this into consideration when calibrating so that you get the best results for your particular situation. I was able to get ours very accurate; if I set it to 70 degrees the heater comes on at around 69 and turns off around 72, which works well for our installation. 7) Turn breaker back on. Overall we are very happy with this thermostat and hope this information is helpful. *** UPDATE 1/9/2018 *** Thermostat is failing already and now I am left wondering if this can truly handle the load specified. I have a 4000 watt Cadet wall heater at 16.7 amps, which is well below the maximum rating of 22 amps. However, under load the contacts and/or the micro switch are already failing. Both during operation and when it should be off (set temp is satisfied) I can hear it arcing inside and hear the heater cut off/on briefly each time. It has even shut off completely without the thermostat 'clicking' off and then it will sometimes come back on, then on and off and more arcing. Also, even when it appears to have somewhat 'clicked' off, it will sometimes allow power to the heater briefly. Often, it doesn't sound like it fully 'clicks' off anymore when under load, but strangely if I turn the breaker off and then rotate the dial left and right it sounds like it clicks normally. Needless to say, I have shut off the breaker and ordered another thermostat (but not this one.) I decided to try the older version of this one; it looks a bit more 'dated', but maybe they were made better back then. As for this one, well, I'm out $20. Due to the above, I have obviously nothing good to say about it now, thus my 1-star rating. Sorry!

accuracy??? dial reads 45degrees off and thus will not heat to 68dgs.
On a warm day ,thermostat works fine. On a cold day , barely top 66 degrees . I am old and cold

It works well, would also have liked a on and off switch, reason so you don't have to turn the knob from a selected setting.
