ESV Study Bible, Personal Size (TruTone, Turquoise, Emblem Design)

Nice Bible! However, you better have good eye sight, the print is painfully small; literally, I walk away with a headache and I have 20/20 vision. I get it though, with this much info, there is no other way to do it. The amount of extras like maps, pictures, and commentary is insanely good! I am no theologian and have only read my other Bible cover to cover twice but this takes the cake on studying. The imitation soft teal leather is great, seems to be holding up well for the sheer thickness of this book. Only owning one other study Bible in my life and it being from the early 90's, they have come a long way. I don't know much about various study Bible versions but I recommend and like this one!

My new favorite bible! The perfect size. Easy to read. Nice size font. Commentary and study notes. Breaks down chapter and verse to give context. It's a wonderful study bible. Going deeper into God's word is easy with this Bible.

I've purchased the ESV Study Bible in the standard hardback and the large print sizes. It's a great resource. In general, I really love the large print for extended study and use as a reference, but it doesn't have full color maps, etc. Honestly, I fell in love with the color and smaller size, and when Amazon offered it under $30 USD, I wanted to try it. I'm older and use reading glasses. Most of the time, I don't use glasses, just for computer work and reading. It is smaller print, but not as small as the compact size Book of Common Prayer/NRSV which is roughly a 6.5 point font (Bible portion). I have seen various sources saying that the Bible text and essay text is 8 pt; another source said 7.75. That sounds about right; I can manage with my reading glasses and proper lighting. The smaller references explaining translations are a challenge. But most of this I am able to read. For those with significant vision problems, this is not the one. This is probably the first Bible I've ever selected based on color. There are other Bibles in this colorway in the ESV translation with larger print and a smaller price tag. There is also a standard version in the same color, since this was more of a "fashion" color, I didn't want to invest more money in it. Apart from its aesthetic appeal, I think this is a fantastic resource for those seeking to delve more deeply into God's word.

Love the Bible. It is everything I was hoping it would be. It is easy to handle and the print isn't so bad for the size it is. I have been looking a long time for a Bible this size.

I got this Study Bible (Personal Size) bc it was on sale. This Study Bible has literally changed my life. It is chock FULL of information. I am posting a longer video to let The ESV Study Bible Personal Size speak for itself.. it is the most beautiful Bible I own. But the content is what is the best part. The content is so detailed. I absolutely love this Bible, it is my favorite.

This Bible is BEAUTIFUL! The maps inside are colored and a nice quality.

Full of time lines, comparison charts, debated theological point of views, colored maps during different periods, character profiles and illustrations. The maccabees are referenced in some maps but its not an apacrypha. The book is well bound and sturdy. Only downside is the small print, thin paper (standard in most bibles) and margins are almost non existing. It's hard to find a comprehensive study bible with journal margins. I bought the evs STUDY JOURNAL bible thinking its same but it was missing a lot of the illustrations, maps, and charts that this bible had, but came the closest to having all in one if your interested in journal combo. This bible is not the most compact (which is good thing since its a STUDY bible) but its small enough to take along. All in all this is an excellent choice for anyone. Its helps to understand geography and terminology. Helps visualize and peice together concepts that might have stumbled someone that doesnt understand but moves along in the reading anyway.

Truly a fantastic Bible. Compact, but readable. It opens well for the size that it is and the font is small but not too small for folks w normal vision. If you are nearing bifocal time, I’d steer clear of this size of Bible. I was curious how the cover would feel, but it has a nice texture to it.

Absolutely the best Bible I have owned to date! The leather like exterior is soft and beautiful, as well as the imprint. This is my 2nd ESV study Bible by Crossway. I love the personal size because it’s easier to travel with. Yes, the writing is smaller, but you will expect this if you try to shrink a fully functioning study Bible into a smaller size. If you don’t like smaller print, then avoid the Personal Size! Don’t give a bad review just because you didn’t like size of text. You are getting what you ask for. Cross way Bibles have TONS of larger print study bibles. Do your homework first! Personal size will fit into a size small bible case (shown in my 3rd picture). Recommend to everyone!! 🩵🩵🩵

Am really loving the richness in this EsV (crossway) . Because it’s personal size , I was concerned it would be tiny words as some of the reviews said but it’s a comfortable size. I also bought the NKJV(Thomas Nelson) comfort size the font size difference is not much different. Content is amazingly detailed. I think it’s on par with my NKJV study Bible as I’ve noted the notes are similar .
