Used it, loved it. Opened up a whole range of possibilities on the BBQ. Update: Sept 1, 2015 These mats have significantly changed the way I use the BBQ - for the better. For example: No fear of losing food through the grill. I now have a much larger, more organized, area in which to cook the entire meal. Other grill plates used too much available grill area for a smaller amount of usable cooking area. Using the mats affords me real heat zone control on a 30 x 24 grill area. I longer have a problem with hot zones. Better, more effective basting - on both meat and vegetables. Vegetables do not dry out. REAL slow cooking - WITH grill marks Piece of cake to clean Uses up a lot less storage area in the kitchen Has not distorted, warped, or imparted any flavors to foods. Lastly - I recommend using the OXO high temp spatulas and tongs on the mats. Very inexpensive, really do the job, easy to get.

These work really well - on my home BBQ, and over open fire pit when camping. They are thin and thus a little fragile: my camping grate left some kinks, so be careful and was after every use carefully. I use these all the time for BBQ salmon with great results - nothing falls apart!

We haven't experimented too much yet, but so far we've tried breaded zucchini, pork schnitzel, bacon wrapped asparagus, chicken wings and ribs - and the mats have worked great. They cut down on flare-ups, but still allow for grill marks and browning. And best of all, they're really easy to clean; I've already bought one for my grillaholic brother.
