This really is, a Great Phone
It's been a while since I wrote an Amazon review. I thought I would make the effort in this case as I really just can't get over how good this phone is. After perusing all the cheapy phones I decided to order this one as it had very decent specs for the price. After ordering I thought it would be a good idea to watch some YouTube videos, I know that seems daft but if I did it the other way round I would never be able to make my mind up. There was only one video where the person actually talks, and he turns the phone on and it looks kind of sluggish, and slow. My phone did this when I first switched it on too, however after everything had downloaded and I had updated everything, I can happily say the phone is running nice and fast, after changing some settings the phone works perfectly, please see bellow. Important! There was a worrisome moment when I thought there was no way to navigate through the phone, as there were no buttons on the screen, turns out the phone comes factory set with gestures as the main way to navigate the phone, this may be a common function on phones nowadays but I'm not used to it I actually disabled that function in my last phone the first day I got it. Easily fixe in the settings. There are a couple of other nit pics but they can all be sorted out in the settings. Oh, there's a couple of things that you will need to turn on which I at least, took for granted would be done automatically, like when you sign into your wifi, if you go out of range and it disconnects, your phone won't automatically sign into the wifi when you get back into range, you need to change that in the settings too. After the phone was all set up I am delighted with it. I tend to have a phone for years before upgrading, I'm only upgrading this time as my last phone took a swan dive into the bath with me, for it's third and, unfortunately final swim :( It was a Moto X Style, which was a really high end phone in it's day and she will be sadly missed. This Note 14 though, has made the transition a painless one :) I tend to go on quite a bit in my reviews on Amazon, but it's because if you are like me. you read the reviews when deciding if you are going to buy something. I really appreciate a decent review written by an actual human :) Yeah, if you are reading this review looking for a new phone, you should definitely get this phone, you will be chuffed to bits. PS, they have already fitted a screen protector to the phone , and provided a wee phone cover too, I man, that's just great bloomin customer service

Windows to Android
I have always been a Nokia user with a Windows operating system, and I am no technical expert, so the change over to Android system was a bit of a shock, but in a nice way, as I was able to do so much more with it. I mainly use my phone for business emails and keeping up to date with news whilst travelling, and the response speed of the phone is certainly fast. The next day delivery via my prime account was so efficient, particularly as I needed to have the phone before an overseas trip. The first thing noticable, was that the phone had arrived with the battery already fully charged! So I was able start setting up the new phone immediately. A nice touch. Although a larger phone that what I am used to, it is nice and light to handle, the screen size is good for reading emails easily and following news updates etc. So, I can see the attraction for those who want to run games or watch movies. I particulary liked the sim card slot that could be accessed without dismantling the phone to get to your sim card. I also liked 'Easy Launcher' as it produces a screen of windows for most important items, such as contacts, settings, photos, camera etc, which are so much easier to use ( well for me anyhow being used to windows phone) than the various screen buttons on Android phones. I initially had some issues with my Tesco Sim card and access to the internet, but the supply company Trade U Tech service dept were very helpful with advice and guided me though the process to sort the Sim card hiccup. So good back up for owners of this phone. For me, with a price of under £100, the Note 14 is certainly a great budget phone, with lots of goodies, more of which I am sure I shall discover over the coming months. Update 21.11.22 : For the past week, I have been discovering all the delights of this phone. Transferring across my apps and personal stuff with so easy, and I was surprised that my Bluetooth earpiece for my Windows phone was picked up instantly by the phone. So I have added an extra star.

Great value for basics, but not photos
Nice phone. I wanted to see what I'd get for my money if I didn't get a Samsung flagship phone and it's not bad!!! It's got good usability, it's responsive and is running latest Android. So it's more than enough for everyday email browsing etc. On the minus side the Camera is poor and photos are grainy. battery life can be poor depending on usage... Speaker or headphones drain it though bluetooth headphones are fine. GREAT value if you need a phone. But not for photos.

Won't last long before things start going wrong.
I've had this phone for 4 month now. I'm really pleased with it. For the price it's a brilliant phone. It has enough storage to hold all the apps that I need it too. Overall it's a great phone. The camera isn't amazing but it's not terrible and for the price i wouldn't expect any better than this one provides. The only issue I have is the volume isn't very loud but I have a little difficulty hearing anyway so may not be an issue for others. I cant comment on the face recognition as I don't use it. Overall I like the phone and it's features. I just wanted to update. It's now July I have had the phone since January. And it no longer holds its charge at all. It goes down 1% a second even when not in use. I didn't have high expectations but I'm abit annoyed that I didn't even get 12 months use out of the phone. It now also keeps turning its self off and going to a black screen while music or phone calls will continue. Very disappointed that it hit the 6 month mark and has continued to go down hill with various issues
