Designed as a "Studio Monitor", these speakers are in fact very versatile and adjustable. I'm a radio DJ who does prep for my show in my home office. These powered speakers provide fabulous sound, are small enough for my office bookshelves and are helping me hear stuff I was missing. My only concern was that the cable connecting the two speakers (power and signal) was very short, (4'?) but Kali has an 8 foot one for $10 including shipping! Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Highly recommended.

Purchased these after looking at iLoud and the Kanto Ora. Setup - connected to mac mini M4 via USB C. Nothing else is connected. Using the digital processing in the speaker. Soundstage when listening to Spotify, lossless AAC (stored on NAS) - perfect at this price point!

Great sounding monitors, accurate and flat reproduction, options for setting the frequencies based on the room setup, great connectivity options with the bluetooth as well. Only issue I have is with the cables. They stick out obnoxiously far so I have to pull the monitors about 6 inches away from the wall to not have them bending too badly, as they also don't really stick inside the proprietary port design very well in general and can fall out with ease. Don't know why they couldn't have used a normal cable.

Bought Eris studio monitors because I wanted that Studio One vibe but unfortunately these topped them and were well worth the price!

These are great desktop speakers and sound great if used within their intended use case. I took a chance on them based on multiple good reviews on YouTube and Audio Science Review. However, these reviews did not consider my use case. I bought them for use in a small living room in a 2.1 setup using a powered subwoofer and WiiM Ultra as a preamp. These are powered speakers with their own volume control and they do not integrate with the Wiim Ultra in any useful way. I tried using RCA cable out from the Wiim into the Kali speaker. It works but the sound quality from 8 feet away is not acceptable. The volume control also does not integrate well. There is not a lot of dynamic range in volume adjustment using the Wiim as the volume control device. The Kalis have their own internal DAC so I tried using USB output from the Wiim into the speakers. If anything, that was worse. The sound would cut out for no apparent reason using this connection. I don't know if there was a communication mismatch or if something caused the Kalis to go into protect mode. I suspect it is the latter. Either way, they do not work well in this scenario. They are great desktop speakers to use with a computer. I am sure they are great as desktop studio monitors which is what they are designed for. Unfortunately, even though Amazon has a 'free' return policy, that does not apply in this case. Sweetwater is the vendor and they will charge me a 15% restocking fee plus shipping charges because the speaker are not really defective. They just do not work well in my system and use case. Make sure before buying these you understand their limitations because the financial hit is severe to return them. I will keep them as computer desktop speakers. In my small home theater, now I am using Polk ES10 speakers with an SVS subwoofer and an ancient Apt Holman amplifier with the Wiim Ultra and the sound is light years better than the Kalis. I also have good dynamic range in the volume control with this setup. You could probably replicate my setup with any of the popular low priced Class D amps from Fosi, Aiyima, or 3E and still have a great sounding system. I hope my experience will help someone out there from making the same mistake I did.
