Barbie Collector - Tokidoki Barbie Doll - Gold Label

I've been waiting long time for buying this doll. First: the very high price. Second: some reviews about it saying it doesn't worth, etc. So I waited for Christmas to pass, thinking in buying it for my birthday (meanwhile watching the price going down slowly). After three months of waiting I decided it was time because I wanted it so badly. So yes, I bought it and IT WORTH EVERY PENNY. She is absolutely beautiful and the box is so colored and fun to watch too! I was worried about some reviews about the hair but it looks very nice (sticky with that glue makers use but nice anyway) face, everything looks perfect. What did surprise me was the glasses: they are sort of cartoonish glasses, not plastic ones like playing barbies use to wear. Another detail worth to mention is the dog's lead and collar: in my case it seems it wasn't fix properly when making the doll so it looks a little loose at the top of Bastardino's back. Overall: it is an amazing doll. yes, it's true, the cost is high but if you like it badly and have the money don't wait and buy it. In Amazon there are some sellers with reasonable prices selling it new (when I bought it I saw prices as high as 599 and the lowest was 325) so it's up to you.

Completely NOT worth the price!! A shortage seems to be created at the conception of this doll to create these insane prices. Wife LOVES it though.

I could swore the hair was sloppy cut. And I over paid for this piece of plastic with clothes on.

Beautiful doll. I wish I had purchased her when she first came out and was under $100. I wanted her in my collection so she is worth the price. Not ready to take her out of her box, I'm not even sure I will. She is a lovely doll, made even more so because of her tattoos.

This really sucks! Saw this on the morning news 10-21-11, didn't realize that they had come out with it. Then I received the collector magazine and saw it in there. Wanted to buy one, but they were all sold out. It is a shame that people have to buy them all up at $50.00 and then turn around and try and sell them for hundreds of dollars. Every one should get an equal chance at one of these for the $50.00 price and not have to subject themselves to only getting one and paying such an outrageous amount for it.

You will not regret this purchase! It comes with a awesome little dog on a gold lead and barbie is well dressed. You can open the front of the box very easily and it has a clear front, which is great for displaying.

designer and animator here: this toy is beautiful, sitting pretty in the whimsically designed tokidoki packaging on my desk! hair and makeup look cheap, but hey it's still a Barbie after all... and I bought it at regular price (definitely not $400), so it was totally worth it for me!

Very pleased with everything about this doll. tThe packaging was exactly as it should be.Quality of the product was evident. Hoping to eventually find that next barbie needed for collection.I would recommend it to anyone I know that collects Barbies'
