Easy clean up No streaks on outer pot after drying
Well So many pots and pans to choose from. Finally clicked and took a chance. I used this pot for a big sauce for Easter It did the job .Of course everybody knows I make the best sauce (not gravy) lol So what makes this pot exciting . The clean up Some soapy hot water cleans easily but here is the bonus , no streaks like other sauce pots I have purchased. Second bonus comes with a classy ladle and a two pack of stainless steel cleaner Buy,buy, buy You will not be disappointed I have no skin in this review . I just love the pot. Glass top too as it should be.

Exceptional Build Quality but Lid Handle Gets Hot
I originally wanted a Vollrath 3109 Centurion, 38-quart, 10-gauge stainless steel stockpot, made in Italy, but I didn't have $653 plus the lid cost to shell out, especially after our previous stockpot of nearly 10 years got dented and the base almost detached from the body. Searching for a quality alternative, I found this Homichef brand on Amazon. I purchased the 24-quart version in August, and I must say, it has been a solid investment. I've cooked in it at least 20 times already—primarily soups and stews—and it still looks as pristine as the day it arrived. This pot is crafted from nickel-free stainless steel, which is not only healthier but also highly durable. The pot’s heavy-duty construction, with a 7mm base, gives it stability and even heat distribution, which is beneficial when cooking large batches. Compared to my old stockpot, the Homichef feels far sturdier and more resilient, holding up exceptionally well after multiple uses. The mirror-polished exterior and matte interior finish make cleaning a breeze. Even after simmering hearty stews, I found that residue wiped away with minimal effort, preserving its shiny look. It’s refreshing to use a pot that doesn’t stain or retain food odors much, making it feel new with each use. This stockpot’s compatibility with various stovetops—gas, induction, electric, and ceramic—is a standout feature. Whether I’m using it on my gas stove or transferring it to a friend’s induction cooktop, it performs consistently well. The ergonomic handles remain cool, making it safer to handle, even when cooking at high heat. The 24-quart capacity is fantastic for cooking in bulk, but it does make storage a bit tricky. If you have limited kitchen space, finding a suitable spot might be a challenge, especially considering its height. However, if you frequently cook for large groups or prepare stock, the size is ideal. While the handles on the pot itself stay cool, the lid handle tends to heat up, which can be inconvenient during longer cooking sessions. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I’d recommend using a pot holder when lifting the lid to avoid burns.Overall, this 24-quart stockpot is an impressive piece for the price. While I still admire the Vollrath's reputation, the Homichef proves that high-quality cookware doesn't always come with a high price tag. This is a durable, well-designed stockpot that meets all my cooking needs, and I’m thoroughly pleased with this find. Let's see if this will last up to 10 years like my old 20-quart stockpot.

Quality without the added toxin stainless steel
Great quality stainless steel stock pot! Large enough to make pho broth. Heats up evenly & lid doesn’t splatter and closes tight for hours of simmering bone broth. Also important that it’s nickel free (a neurotoxin.)

Great Basic Pot
Bigger than I expected-- make sure you research the exact size you are needing for your kitchen! I have found the pot to be of great quality so far and use it all the time. Appreciate the ladle that comes with it.

Great pot, high quality
Great pot for a chili cook off. Plenty of space to cook large quantity of food, plus the double walled bottom prevents burning on a direct flame. Unfortunately we did not win, but I can't blame the pot for that.

Finally a pot big enough to feed my large extended family!
I had read the of great customer service and now I am very pleased to report that Homi Chef with the follow up email does seem to care about it's customers which is pretty unusual nowadays! I purchased the Homi Chef large heavy ecological Nickel free stainless steel stock pot 16 qt. I followed your instructions included in the box when I received the product today. I washed and rinsed the pot with warm soapy water and followed with a scrub with a cloth dishcloth wet from the lemon juice I put in the pot. I scrubbed all surfaces, then rinsed thoroughly followed by the second soapy water wash and rinse and a drying with a dish towel.I have three grown sons with families of their own plus several of their friends whose moms do not seem to have time to do old time cooking! LOL!! I am 76 with a torn rotator cuff and this is the largest pot I have ever tried to cook with. This pot replaced the 8 qt that I have used for years. The only problem I foresee is making sure someone younger and stronger than I is around when I need to remove the pot from my stove when it is full and ready to serve. However, if they all want to eat, that should be a great motivation for someone to show up to assist me!Everyone loves my homemade vegetable beef soup and in order to have enough soup for 15-20 people, I really needed a larger pot otherwise there was never enough broth for the rest of the veggies and beef when the soup was close to the bottom of the pot. This should solve my broth shortage! I never raise the temp on a big pot to above a level 3 which is not even a medium heat so that will not be a problem. Now I was wondering about my usual practice. On Sat, I usually start my 5 lbs of beef stew meat with as much water as the pot will hold, adding more water as needed, plus some celery tops and a large onion and cook the meat several hours to render it very tender. Then I cool it down and place the meat and broth, still in the pot, in the frig overnight. Then Sun morning I remove the pot from the frig and place it on the cook top to return to room temp where I then finish cooking and seasoning and adding the veggies in time to serve it after our family band finishes playing on Sun afternoon! However the instructions read that I was not to store food in this pot? Does that mean that I cannot put the broth and meat in the frig just overnight as long as I do add any seasoning to the pot? Surely just water, onion, celery and meat would not ruin the pot overnight or poison my guests? I do not have any bowls large enough to store this much food and it would be a problem trying to get all that broth and meat from the pot to several bowls to put in the frig to store it overnight then return it back to the pot to finish cooking on Sun. Would my soup be safe to serve if I did just store it overnight in the pot before finishing the preparation the next day? Can you advise me on this? Thanks,LindaWithin just a few HOURS, I had my answer which addressed my question. This is just amazing customer service!!! Thank goodness, I do not have to try to transfer 4 gallons of soup from the pot to small bowls and back again the next morning! I will not store any soup in the pot after the short overnight before I finish the soup on Sun. If there are any leftovers, my three boys ask for take home! LOL!!! So I have quart size container so each can have the leftovers to take home with them! By Sun night, the pot will be washed in very warm, soapy tap water inside and out, dried and stored away in it's special place in my pantry. Oh my, I am so glad I have spell check! I left the "r" out of pantry while typing and could not imagine what you would have thought had it not highlighted before I sent the email! Thank goodness, I was able to correct the spelling!! Again, I really do appreciate your wonderful customer service and you can count on me for any future purchases of cookware!

Perfect for making batches of maple syrup
This is an extremely well-made pot, suitable for boiling maple tree sap for long periods to make perfect maple syrup (used in Maine as I write this). The extra thick, multi-layer bottom distributes heat more evenly the less expensive alternatives. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.
