Excellent product. Helps digest heavy meals.

In my late 20s, I started to have frequent upset stomach and/or diarrhea and/or excessive gas after eating foods that I've enjoyed all my life. Things like American-style brunch, Chinese dim sum, Sushi, Creamy pastas, Steak dinners, even pizza. I think increasing lactose intolerance was definitely one factor, but what about the non-dairy foods? Went to my PCP and he recommended Similase. He explained that it's a tablet full of digestive enzymes and it would help me digest food (and prevent it from just running through me like a freight train). Nearly 2 years later, I can say without exaggeration that it has changed my quality of life. I'm no longer afraid to eat a hearty meal (and have that feeling like I'll need to run for the toilet within minutes). With Similase, I can enjoy all the foods that I still love. I will note that while Similase has helped with indigestion and diarrhea, I still have a lot of gas after certain meals. I find that Beano (which you can find at Target, Costco, etc) works best for gas.

I have been using these products for years. I would not be without them.

I’ve been using a different brand of enzymes for years but they were out of stock for a while (elsewhere) so I ordered these. I use many other Integrative Therapeutics as it’s what my Naturopathic Dr recommends. I’ve found these to be very helpful, maybe even more so than what I’d been using. I have a sensitive stomach and try not to eat greasy foods, or red meat too often, so when I want to splurge on a heavier meal I take enzymes. I’ve had no problems with the foods when I’ve taken this.

A dear friend told me how much it helped her and she took 2 with every meal. Then I heard a program on the gut/brain connection. That made sense so thought it was worth giving it a try. So thankful I did. I've suffered with extremely bad headaches for over 60 years. Ever sense my head went through the windshield in a bad car accident. I take 2 pills before every meal. If I should forget and start getting a headache I'll take it then and the headache goes away. Thank you friend and thank you Jesus. If course the added benefit of helping painful belly bloating. I've tried other digestive pills but did not have the success with them as I've had with these. I've recommended this to some of my friends who also suffer from headaches. Some of them are helped and some aren't but I'm most thankful it's helped me.

Great product for assistance with a range of digestive issues. Similase was originally prescribed to me by a DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) for help digesting fats, dairy and other difficult to digest foods. I was thrilled to learn that I could get this product at Amazon for 25% less than at my doctor's office. I take one or two depending on the size and content of the meal almost every day. I generally take them right before eating but have found that I can take them up to 30 minutes after eating if necessary. It was hard for me to find the "right" digestive enzyme, but after trying several, I feel that this is generally the best one (at least for me). Digestive enzymes are serious business. As I previously mentioned, I was prescribed this by a doctor with a medical degree and advanced training in nutrition. I would absolutely check with a doctor to make sure this type of product is safe for you before trying it if you have any concerns at all. If you try them, you might want to make sure that they will not interfere with the digestion and/or absorption of any medicines and/or supplements that you are already using. Also, people that have sensitive stomachs, ulcers, or similar conditions might not be able to handle this type of supplement. I would also want to rule out any potential medical conditions (such as Celiac's or Crohn's) that could be masked (or even worsened) by taking digestive enzymes. Better safe than sorry! Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with digestive issues such as cramping, bloating, or gas from eating dairy, gluten, and/or any other inflammatory foods that cause the body stress during digestion.
