Had some issues with my older firestick not playing some shows for some reason, im a little disappointed that updates to the old one couldn't fix it but the new one does have features like cec control which I do like. I would like some sort of way for the firestick to be able to turn the tv on outside of the remote (like as a smart home function) but other than that, great product.

Streaming apps loaded properly, and navigation through menus was responsive. The remote paired easily and worked as expected. Video quality was clear on an HD television. From a basic performance and usability standpoint, the device met expectations for everyday streaming.

FANTASTIC! Oh my gosh - Here's the story. For the past 3 years, I don't have any tv service, but I do have internet at home. I have a couple of movie streaming subscriptions that I sign into on my home pc and on 2 chrome books connected to 2 simple TV's with HDMI cables, on 2 different floors (A Dynex TV, and a Sharp TV.) Well, the chrome books end of life has come to be (10 years 2015-2025). So, they won't update any longer, hence- the chrome books don't work with those 2 tv's: ERROR YOUR DEVICE NEEDS TO UPDATE. To solve the problem .... 2 firesticks!!! I didn't have to buy smart tv's; I didn't have to buy brand new 2025 chrome books to stream. Took all of a couple minutes to move the furniture away from the walls and then connect according to the manual and follow the online instructions. EVERYTHING WORKS ON THE 1ST TRY! Unbelievable. The least expensive quick fix EVER! Less than $20 each fire stick. The remote works, my streaming companies are there! Fabulous! Super invention to bring streaming to two old tv's with no Chromebook, no cable, no TV service expense. Alleluia! Who knew???? ;) Now, we all do!

I have an older smart tv in my shop and bedroom, the apps. installed on the tv's was as slow as a slug to load and always buffering. But this lil thig works awesome. Installed all the apps. running on our main tv through this stick, was so pleased with the outcome, I bought another for the bedroom, you know, why not. Super easy to set-up, and to navigate. The only thing I wish about this could be better, I wish the USB cord was longer. But overall, more than pleased.
