These are handy if you have multiple people using one device.

My dog has hyperkerstosis on her paws. This little shaver worked great to cut off all the spikey hairs. My concern is that it came with a tiny bottle of special oil for yhe clippers and I don't know how to get more if I run out. But yhe clippers work great.

I have and use three different types of lancing devices, since a different style seems to come with each testing kit I own, but this design is by far my favorite. The ability to dial in the depth is really important because I’m kind of a wuss when it comes to finger sticks. The operation of these is simple: remove the cap to insert a standard lancet, twist the cap back on, turn the dial at the top to your desired depth, and press the button when ready. Usually, the act of inserting the lancet will set the trigger for this pen but if not, or if you are reusing it, pull back on the base to reset. Easy peasy. Even at the higher settings, the needle never protrudes from the top of the cap so that’s a nice feature of this style of pen. The only complaint I would have about this particular set is that it is a little difficult to turn the top dial for the setting. For those of us who have any pain in our hands or not much grip strength in our fingers, it can be a little difficult, so I’m hoping that they loosen up with time. On the other hand, once it is set, it does not change unless you change it and I almost never need to do that. Its current price of 9$ for all three of these, I think it’s a good value.

First, I am a tough customer. I don't usually have good success with any kind of device using standard lancets, so maybe this isn't a fair test. Second, this device is not compatible with all lancets. My B_y_r Microlancets would not fit (they were too large), but my Avi_n lancets seemed to fit well. I tried the device at both the "3" setting and "6". It takes a bit of strength to turn it. I washed my hands in warm water as instructed (and did a little pre-poke massage). Both pokes barely bled and had to be massaged/gently squeezed, which I don't like to do (it's my understanding that massaging/squeezing can change values). I also didn't notice any decrease in pain. To be fair these devices likely work best with their own lancets (however these do not include any lancets).

I would give this junk a 0 star if I could. Three lancet devices. All three fused together and impossible to put a lancet in. Keep looking. These are JUNK.
