RYOBI OBV18 18V ONE+ Cordless Brushless Blow-Vac (Body Only), Hyper Green

I have used on dry leaves for a couple of months which it is great, but I waited until I had to clear my garden of wet leaves to review. It took 10 minutes to assemble, very easy. Connections are a bit tight but you want it to be sturdy. I have a smallish garden (@15,000square ft), but have 5 trees in it, and are surrounded on all sides by large trees, so we do get a quite a few leaves throughout the year. It took me @45 minutes to clear the garden. Blows and vacuums leaves really well on both dry and wet leaves, mulching is really good too, I have experienced no clogging, perhaps I don't use it as though I am using a 72HP petrol unit. For my other Ryobi garden tools I use either a 2.0Ah or a 5.5Ah battery, for this I use a 12Ah else you are recharging every 15-20 minutes. If you are expecting the performance of a petrol or 240V unit, do not buy any cordless otherwise you will be disappointed.

Iam a big ryobi fan and already have quite a collection so buying this with confidence was quite easy. It's a great tool and since having it has made my life a lot easier .it's strong and very well made ,good power and gets job done no more rake and shovel for leaves ,falling flower heads during summer blossoming etc does a clean fast job and not a chore.i use heavy duty batteries on most of my ryobi tools to give plenty of power which is key I believe to cordless working properly and to it's best.so I would recommend this as it's not too heavy either and easy to empty bag .

Forget using it as a blower - not powerful enough - as a vacuum it’s only good for small dry leaves - difficult to disassemble when blocked and it’s forever getting blocked - design fault with fan/blade mount which means the shredding blade comes loose and Jams the unit - eats batteries - a big 5ah battery lasts 10-15 minutes - would have returned it for a refund if I hadn’t taken it apart to find out what was wrong with it - DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I used a fully charged 5.0a battery and found the vacuum weaker than expected...struggled to pick up broad leaves and if picking up heaps of small leaves , it easily chokes up ...I had to disassemble & clear it twice within 20 mins of starting. The blower is adequate. Once I'd got used to the capabilities & limitations of the machine I had no further problems. My wife indoors found it quite noisy.

Shredder Great when leaves are dry. Tends to block when damp Blower OK all the time.

Another great Ryobi product, this garden vac was a replacement for an old corded vac. It’s light weight, easy to use and of course because it’s battery, no cable to snag up or run out of cable. Suction power is good and the bag holds plenty of leaves and garden rubbish

What a great piece of kit, I was managing my expectations when I ordered this as I thought a battery powered leaf blower / sucker wouldn’t be up to much but was wrong. Very well built, very sturdy and love how you can switch between blowing and sucking by flipping a switch.

Bought 2 of these and neither worked. In case it was my battery, which by the way works fine with my Ryobi edge strimmer, I bought a new battery specifically recommended for this item and it still didn’t work. Very disappointed.
