Love love love it!
I love these kinds of things - solving cases - I've always been into detective books and shows. When I was a kid I was always about Encyclopedia Brown. And as an adult Ellery Queen. It's awesome that they make these so you can play it on your own. (I don't like the ones that say you need at least 2 people to play.) These are KIND OF like having your own escape room game, but not as much interaction. Not that this doesn't have interaction! How neat is it that you have "Charlie"! He is like your assistant and helper should you get stuck. Excellent. This is so fun. And I think $25 is very reasonable - for goodness sake, that's at least what you'd pay to do an hour escape room. Only thing that stinks is that it's a one and done. So once you play, you gotta give it away. But again, so worth it!I recommend highly!

Loved group effort
Overall, we liked this… but found it difficult to do it in small area. Make space, and have an open mind! For our family, some of the text choices (handwriting font) were hard for some to read, so one person did have to read a majority of the information — which was still fun, but it wasn’t as easy to move on quickly as splitting and sharing our perspectives afterwards. For us, it did hinder our fun a little bit that only some could partially participate.Keep this in mind when it comes to gifting - someone who needs large print or has trouble with certain fonts.Truly, it was well sorted out, came paper clipped together. . And felt like we were pretty well prepared and not chaos from the start. Instructions were very clear, and the interactive portion the game added was a nice little surprise. This isn’t a revisit/redo kinda game. It’s a one and done. It doesn’t mean you can’t keep it for other visitors or friend groups and play along with them… it was super exciting to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions & really fun when the little battles started between family members.

This was fun.
Ok, so One of the other reviews says they opened it and the answer was right there and they couldn't avoid it.I'd like to say, they're full of it.I took this review into consideration and when I opened the package, which is sealed in a paper envelope, (no plastic to be seen Yay!!) I was greeted with several more individually packaged envelopes in a folder. You open the folder, it has the instructions. Great. It gives you very clear step by step instructions. Unless this person got an open one, which would have been OBVIOUS, i don't understand how they messed this up. Did they open it like a feral animal or toddler??Anyway the game was great, my parents were in town and we did spent a few hours playing detective. You can play it alone as well. So we each went through the evidence and then we came together to talk about what we found. This is an interactive game and you move on to the next piece when you've solved the one before it. There is an app that you communicate with the investigation leader. We loved this, it wasn't ambiguous when or if we figured it out.Totally worth the money. And for the ones that are upset that you can only play it once, well have you ever heard of sharing???Give it to the next person, donate it, damn, sell it if you really can't just pay it forward!!Y'all are ridiculous.

A crime-solving project we won’t forget
I picked up The Edward Munst Case on a whim and brought it along on vacation for playing while camping, and it turned out to be one of the most engaging evenings we’ve had in a long time. The case file is packed—I’m talking over 30 pieces of evidence, including police reports, autopsy results, crime scene photos, and handwritten notes. It really made us feel like true detectives trying to crack a cold case. My son really got into it, and we were talking about the clues during our long car ride home as a family. We spread everything out on a picnic table and immediately got sucked in. The details were rich, the storyline was believable, and the pacing was perfect. We still haven't entirely solved it, but the journey is fun. Every time we thought we had it figured out, a new twist would surface.I loved that it was accessible too—there are hints online if you get stuck, but we managed without them (we were camping and the internet was spotty), which felt incredibly satisfying. It’s perfect for couples, small groups, or even solo if you love a challenge. Once we finish this one, we’re already eyeing another case next month. If you like true crime or solving puzzles, this is a no-brainer. Lots of fun for the money.

Fun but missing envelope
Fun mystery set but was missing everything in Envelope 2! Such a bummer, but hopefully it was just a one-off mistake.

Fun for aspiring crime solvers
I'm having a lot of fun with this game. I have read all of the initial files and have written down who I believe the killer is based on my first impression. I'm having my husband do the same and we will see if one of us is right at the end. I like dragging this out like a real investigation. I think it is more fun that way. I'm having fun with this and I think it is challenging. I would buy another kit from this company. I am happy with the detailed items that they include in this kit.

Game
This game did not live up to my expectations. It was not as fun as I hoped. This game left 4 adults wanting more.
