I was gone for two weeks and came back to a tank full of happy fed fish. I have a 75 gallon tank and feed flakes. I was not sure if this would work with flakes, but it does and worked great! It was easy enough to program and instruction manual was well written and easy to follow. It easily attached to my tank. I have no complaints and am quite happy with my purchase. That said, I removed it because i like the feeding interaction with my fish, but know I have a reliable feeding method for next time I go away.

These have been great. I use them to feed very fine pellet fish food and it does a great job dispensing it. A little bit of the food sticks on the edges because of static electricity, but the majority of the food dispenses well. Battery is long lasting, it provides 15 days which has been more than enough for the vacations I take. Controls are pretty easy to navigate. Overall, this is exactly what I needed and after having it for about a year I can say it is holding up well.

Bought the feeder couple days before my two week vacation. The instruction is a little confusing but works as it should and fed my gold fish. The size is bigger than I thought.

Update to one star, literally the day I grabbed this to go on vacation again. Have had this for 5 months, used for 2 weeks and the automation feature is not working. All of the times are set, they have one dot, the daily interval is set to 1, everything matched the instructions and reviews.... And it just doesn't dispense automatically. The manual dispense option works like a charm, but it's not running as expected. Very frustrating for me and my fish.... This was perfect for my week long trip-- it kept my fish fed and was one less thing for my car sitter to worry about Functionality - the programming is confusing, I'm still not sure if I have it set for twice a day or not, but it at least goes once! I'd suggest improving the instructions a little, or making a video for it Capacity - good for goldfish pellets, and holds a decent sized scoop. To dispense it slides open a little trap door, then closes back up and spins the wheels. Nifty. Battery Life - good so far, lasted the entire week and a couple days till I turned it off. The only thing I had an issue with was the ability to clamp it on my tank. It will only work if you have a tank with straight sides, or a very thin ledge. My lid sits on an extruding ledge at the top so the clamp couldn't make a connection on both the outside and inside. My workaround was to sit it on top of the lid right above a small opening in the back where the filter is. It dispensed straight down into the water and as long as I didn't accidentally nudge the feeder away from that hole it worked perfectly. The fish learned the sound of the feeder and knew where in the tank to be!

This works great for vacations! I just bought another for a new tank. Rechargeable battery operated so keeps feeding even if power goes out while you're gone. Most feeders I tried feed random amounts each time, too much or too little, This one you put in the amount so it's perfect. You can feed once a day or multiple times per day (16 feeds limit) so 8 days if you feeding twice. (I'd love to see a version with 1/2 size pocket and to double the days. )

I loved this product until it quit working. But honestly, I still love it once you figure out the directions. The battery lasts at least a month or more. I have left my fish unattended for more than a month and not had any problems and only had one bar gone on my battery indicator. I have been leaving my 55 gallon tank for several weeks at a time, and my feeders do work about 75% of the time, but there are times when I come back and I see that it hasn't dispensed food at all and I too, like some other commenters have lost fish over the dispenser not working correctly. I've been trying to diagnose it since I really do like these feeders, and I think the times that it doesn't function has to do with some type of programming error that I'm not aware of. To set the frequency you do have to hold the up and down arrow together at the same time for about one to two seconds. I do think the failures have something to do with using the Manuel button. I think it takes it off of its schedule but there is no indicator that it's in "manual" mode. I have pushed that button before I leave the house to make sure everything is functioning properly.. I hate to give a poor review because when it works, it works really great, and given the fact that I'm gone for two weeks or more at a time I would say overall it works, but then as a fish keeper, you have nerves worrying about the one time that it doesn't work in coming home to dead fish. As a note to most fish keepers, you can easily get away with feeding your fish once every other day, it also depends on the breed, etc., but that setting allows this feeder to extend to feed for a whole month, which I have done successfully and not lost any fish. It's a misnomer that fish need to eat every day or even multiple times a day, if you're keeping some of the most common breeds. I do think this is a good product. I think you just have to be very careful about how you program it.

Ganz tolle Urlaubsvertretung. Sicherheitshalber vorher getestet und läuft zuverlässig. Aufladefunktion ist mega, Befüllen super einfach und auch das Programmieren ein Kinderspiel. Sowohl Flockenfutter als auch Welstabletten fanden ihren Platz und die Fische waren in unserer Abwesenheit bestens versorgt. Noch dazu ist das Gerät preislich super. Also definitiv zu empfehlen.

Vraiment génial, fonctionne très bien, facile à programmer et garde les aliments à l'abri de l'humidité. J'ai pu partir en vacances sans pb. Je conseille fortement. Aquariophile depuis plus de 40 ans.

Works well. Easy to program. The best is that you are in control of the portions.

Dico che è fantastico e do 5 stelle perchè è davvero ben costruito, solido e di facilissima programmazione: si possono impostare 3 orari al giorno di alimentazione per ognuno dei quali è possibile svuotare da 1 a 3 vani della ghiera rotante. E' inoltre possibile impostare l'alimentazione 1 giorno sì e 1 no, 1 sì e 2 no etc ect. L'ho scelto rispetto alle mangiatoie rotanti sia perchè in teoria è possibile dosare esattamente la quantità di cibo, sia perchè si possono riempire i vani con mangimi diversi per variare l'alimentazione. Difetti: abbastanza ingombrante su acquario da 20l, inoltre se si mette troppo poco mangime (e se il mangime è troppo fine), buona parte rimane attaccata alle pareti invece di essere versata nella vasca. Bisogna fare un pò di prove

It's fantastic! I almost never write a review for anything but had to come back and do so for this. Previously bought one that just rotated a single compartment and it was rubbish. So was sceptical about buying a different one. But this is perfect! I use the 'bug bite' brand in it and it drops it nicely, no sticking, no issues. Fish now know the sound of it and come up when they hear it, which is really cute! I only wish it had more compartments so would last for longer before needs re filling, but then it would have to be bigger and would quickly become unwieldy, so can't complain. Clamps really nicely onto my slightly awkward tank (bit of a lip). No sign of issues and from build quality I would expect will last well. I'd you're having doubts, just get it! It's great!
