Finally, a razor that I can use that does not rip my face off. Your mileage may vary. Quality blades are a must, of course. No plastic disposable waste producing junk here. I tried many varieties of DE Safety razors most were face ripping instruments of torture. The design of this mimics modern flex head razor, with the economical & evironmental sensibilities of a DE Saftey razor. Very good quality to boot.

This is an excellent, well-designed razor that is a pleasure to own and use. It is easy to load, and the pivoting head does a great job to keep it on my face. The leather carry pouch is a nice touch and the fact that it is produced in America is definitely a plus.When I am shaving every day or every other day, this is the best razor that I have used - it far out performs the Oneblade and other single-blade razors that I own.I gave this 4 stars for one reason that people should consider. If your typical time between shaves exceeds 3 to 4 or more days, this may not be the right razor for you. I have found that it is very susceptible to clogging and decreased performance when I have a longer growth of stubble. It will still do the trick, but it may take a follow up lather and shave to get the job done.Overall, it's a fantastic product that I love using.

Bought One Aluminum, then a Second in Brass. Had been convinced my Titanium OneBlade with Feather SS razor blades was the best. Proof has pushed it into the drawer. No scrapes, no cuts, nice smooth one-pass shaving. Disclaimer: i don't care about baby butt smooth shaving with all the additional "against the grain" passes. Just a comfortable "smooth to the touch" shave. The OCD multiple pass shaves are to tough on my ancient skin with all its wrinkles, clefts and sags. That kind of shaving equals ingrown hairs and blemishes. No thanks. Reasonably smooth is fine. A big part of this is using the very thin, cheap looking blades just ONCE and discarding. Genius. This concept of shaving really delivers.

This is a very good razor and good to great value for the money. This Proof razor is my favorite. I like it more so than the following; Merkur (FUTUR & Vision), Parker, Henson, Gillette, and Mach 3 & 5. I have tested all these razors with the DE Feather blade. The Proof comes with blades, but I am most comfortable with the Feather blade. The handle is easy to hold and maintain. The flexible head moves up and down which makes for great control around the curves of my chin and jaw bone. I like this razor and it is a daily use razor, easy to use and care for. I have recommend this razor and believe it to be a good value for the money.

I tried out my new proof razor this morning I am super happy I decided to try it out.It’s simply awesome not going back.I love my safety razors but with my bad shoulder I need a razor that made it a lot easier.I found it in the proof razor.I can even shave my head without having any problems or nicks or anything if you need a razor like me get this one.

I love it but also feel that I should give a warning about it: It's very mild. Just like a cartridge razor (maybe even a little more mild).You have to press hard against the skin but it doesn't leave any irritation. At least not for me. It does a very good job even when compared to my more aggressive safety razors due to the multiple passes you have to do.I think for me the major downside is that the top part of the razor is too big so it's hard to line up your mustache or beard. You can do it, but it's harder.Other than that, this razor can replace your cartridge (or safety) razor with ease. And it's cheaper to replace the blade than for the cartridge razor.I highly recommend and think that if they made some updates to this model (making the head a little thinner to fit around the mustache and beard) and perhaps found a way to make the shave a bit more aggressive while still maintaining that "impossible-to-cut-yourself" shave they currently have, you got the perfect razor.

This razor works great and will obviously last a lifetime. It is built well — the magnetic strip holding the razor blade is genius. Highly recommend.
