As I said, this ladder is great to have around. Getting older and jumping up on a chair is not the smartest thing to do anymore with old knee injury. Chair are fine in some cases. But is better to get this ladder to be safe and have peace of mind in a chair breaking.This ladder is heavy duty and sturdy. It folds flat to stick in the corner. Peace of mind construction even if your a large person. Most ladders weight capacity is 220-300lbs but are made cheap and break. This ladder is overkill, but safe to use by all family members of different sizes.Each step can hold up to 900lbs. That's overkill, but it means it durable and the steps are slip resistant. And it alittle heavy, but nothing you can't handle.

Unless something has changed, I couldn't find the height of the top step ANYWHERE when I was looking to purchase this ladder... it is 27 1/2 inches from the floor to the top of the top step. The ladder seems sturdy and stable. When I first opened it (from the folded position) to be sure the legs were level on the floor. They were not, which was rather concerning. All you need to do is be sure it is fully open, lock it into place with the little locking lever, and put some weight on it to fully extend all of the hinges and supports. Once you do that, it is perfectly level and very sturdy and remains level from then on.

My reason for purchasing this one is the wide steps. It is sturdy. It holds over 350 pounds. Well worth the money.

Ladder is quality. It supports me and I am not a short skinny guy. My only issue is the tool trey. It works and will hold a gallon paint just fine but way too close to the top handle. Anything small than a gallon and my tools it is amazing.

4 Steps with Platform for tools etc. I have owned for 4 days, replacing one I had for 5 years, but one step broke, from a different company. I open the box, ladder was ready to use with no assembly. I set up the ladder and it was very sturdy and I am pleased. I liked it ladder as it was very closed to my original one and it had a warranty. The steps also feel to be stronger than my other ladder. I am pleased, but again only owned it 4 days.

Item arrived on time in good condition and appropriately packaged. Sturdy and stable!

At age 79, getting up on a ladder can be tricky. One slip is serious. But, this is a sturdy, lightweight ladder with real rails that’s easy to open and position, and allows me to get to the top shelves safely and confidently! Especially good when alone for DIY chores.
