I've used many of the tools so far with no problems. This kit definitely has a lot for the price and even a simple case is a good bonus.From the description I thought perhaps the crimper was the "pass-through" type that auto-clips off ends of wires as it crimps. It isn't, however with practice I'm finding I still like using pass-through connectors with it--just get them through, cut them off manually and pull them back slightly before crimping.The cable tester is simple but very handy--it has already caught a wiring-order mistake I made while crimping my first couple of cables.My only qualm is that the instructions included are printed on a TINY piece of paper--good luck even with a magnifying glass. You can find information on using the various tools online however.

A good deal for the price, it easy to use and test your connection. The quality of the tools included are good enough for the price,the case is made of good fabric. Overall the appearance is very good for the price.

I bought this kit long time ago, but I used it to make a new cable just recently. The results were disappointing. Two of the eight contacts in the connector bent sideways. I tried again, the result was the same. I bought RJ-45 connectors with a good rating - everything worked perfectly. My suggestion - throw away the connectors that come with the kit - they are bad and not worth the effort. Another issue - I cannot open the battery compartment of the network tester by hand or by any tool that won't damage it. So basically the crimper and the cutting tools are good, the rest - not so much.

Great Kit at a great price!I used to wire my house with Ethernet CAT 6 cable and it works perfectly.It has everything you need! Just watch a few tutorials online and you’re good to go. Don’t need to hire someone if you could do it yourself.Just beware, it takes a few times to practice so you can get it done correctly, I messed it up around 4-5 times before I learned how to do it right.Once you learn how to do it, it’s pretty fast and simple.Would recommend 10/10

I bought this to repair several coax cables that need their ends replaced. The instructions were well laid out and the actual cutter and crimper were very well made. The included coax ends in the kit worked perfectly. The crimper tool is very sturdy and well made. It's exactly what I needed to get the job done.

This kit came with everything that was advertised. I am a student, and I ordered this for some Zoom conducted labs. Every time I tried to use the wire strippers I cut myself! To be clear, I don't believe that has anything to do with the equipment. Nicking my fingers is a regular occurrence whenever I'm in the kitchen. Thankfully, the labs, like my meals, have been generally positive. I am not sure how this measures up to the kits a professional in the field looks at, but this certainly met my needs!

This kit is a very good starter kit. If you find yourself using it a lot you may find it lacking. I feel there is a bit of redundancy in the tools included, for example the gray stripping tool works great, so I don’t feel the black one is necessary. It would be awesome if the cable tester was also a line finder. A ratcheting screwdriver with interchangeable heads would be helpful instead of the two screwdrivers included. I appreciate that there is space in the kit for extra tools that I need to take to various locations. This kit works great if you’re just running some lines in your home or small office but if you will be doing any more than that I would splurge on a higher quality kit.
