Peugeot 206 Petrol and Diesel Service and Repair Manual: 3757 (Haynes Service and Repair Manuals)

Haynes manuals are always good, instructive and give relevant info for your car, I needed the Peugeot 206 book for the little run around I bought to teach my girl friend to drive in as it has a few niggles that need sorted, there are some great tips and tricks and technical specs for torque settings and oil capacities. The trouble shooting sections are invaluable when there are glitches. Well worth buying as a compliment to your car.

This is all you will need for a spot of DIY service / repair guidance. I remember the Haynes manuals of yesteryear that were dedicated to a single model of vehicle and contained many very detailed diagrams, but i suppose the plethora of car models these days means that more has to be crammed into one book. So, simply make sure you are on the right page for your particular model and get cracking! Lots of advice and pictures make it easier. Even just changing the spark plugs yourself takes about 15 minutes and can save you a small fortune in garage charges.

Bought a 206 for my daughter to learn to drive in. A manual is essential to keep an older car on the road. This has practical information and is well presented. Only thing I find awkward with Haynes manuals, they do not use page numbers. It is always go to chapter this, and section that. Does not really matter if the end advise is good, but I always find simple instructions, such as go to page 20, much easier.

I ordered the black edition ( Peugeot 206 Petrol and Diesel Service and Repair Manual: 2002 to 2006 (Haynes Service and Repair Manuals) ) of the 206 Haynes manual, as it's billed as 2002-2006 (51 to 06 registration). The blue edition ( Peugeot 206 Petrol and Diesel Service and Repair Manual (Haynes Service and Repair Manuals) ) is billed as 1998-2001 (S to X registration). My car's from 2001, but it's a 51 registration, so it's not immediately clear which edition is applicable. There are some very fundamental differences between the to-2001 and 2002-onwards 206s, explaining the two editions. Turns out I picked the wrong one: my 2001/51 turbo diesel is the old "pre-multiplex" model manufactured in August 2001, rather than the newer "multiplexed" version introduced in October 2001. This means the electrical systems are completely different. Fortunately, I managed to sell the black edition on Amazon Marketplace quickly for only a few pounds less than I paid for it.

Helped me save a lot of money on repairs already. No complaints for the price. Recommended.

Meine gesamten Bremsen waren defekt: Vorne: Scheibenbremsem abgenutzt und uneben, Bremsklötze runter. Hinten: Trommelbremsem Totalschaden. Radbremszylinder defekt, Bremstrommel zerkratzt, sämtliche Federn verrostet und/oder schon gerissen. Kostenvoranschlag bei Peugeot über 1000 €, bei A.T.U. ca. 1000€ Natürlich zu viel für ein Auto mit einem Restwert von ca. 3000€. Also hab ich mir dieses Buch geholt. Ich muss sagen: überragend! Ich hab nicht einmal das Gefühl gehabt, dass ich nicht weiss was ich machen soll. Die Anleitung ist wirklich für jeden Laien zu verstehen. (Ich selbst studier Elekrotechnik, habe deswegen praktisch nix mit Mechanik zu tun) Sämtliche "Fallstricke" werder ausführlichst erklärt, alle Anzugsmomente sind angegeben. Die Fotos im Text einfach Klasse. 60 € für Markenersatzteile (von Bosch) ausm Internet, 10 h Arbeitszeit - waren die Bremsen wieder ganz. Wenn Sie wirklich viel Geld sparren wollen holen Sie sich dieses Buch! Ausserdem macht es richtig Spass. Einziges "Problem": Es ist auf Englisch und man braucht handelsübliches Werkzeug (kann man aber beim OBI leihen) zb. Drehmomentschlüssel, 32mm Nuss und Ratsche usw. und ganz wichtig - richtg guten ROSTLÖSER ;)

Libro in buone condizioni anche se usato. Manuale eccellente per chi vuole ripararsi o soltanto conoscere la propria autovettura. Purtroppo le guide hynes non sono tradotte in italiano ma con un poco di conoscenza dell'inglese ce la si puó fare!!

I bought this book to fix a leak in my car and this is so detail that I rebuilt my engine and fix the shocks. The only thing I knew about cars was to change the oil.. Best 20 that I have invested in my life

Good manual, it has easy to read instructions and has images to help you with the things you need to do. Although the examples are from the UK version of the car I didn't see any limitations applying what's in the book to the version I have. The book is monochromatic as you can see in the photo. It has also another detail I like, the book warns you of the difficulty of the repairs so you know what you're getting into.
