This today, a day earlier than expected. DFS followed instructions and left in my safe place, not disturbing me. Am seriously impressed! Really nice looking. Features are great and simple. Not sure yet whether we'll leave the sounds on or not, but glad to have the choice. Does make quite a cute noise though! Nice, informative lights. Have bought this for our new kitchen, currently under construction. Tried it a few times already, very happy with it. Yes, it does feel a tad heavy when full...but probably no more so than our old, similar kettle. Rarely use it full, anyway. It took 3mins 20 secs to boil from a cold tap fill. Didn't strike me as noisier than our last kettle. Happy with that. Am hoping the matching 4 slice Smeg toaster will be available on Black Friday, as it wasn't a Prime Event offer, but I did buy the kettle in a deal. Will update if anything changes, when we use this fully when it's being used on a daily basis. Easy to register for it's 24 month g'tee. Happy customer. Thank you, Amazon.

This lovely temperature controlled black SMEG kettle is amazing. I can boil the kettle to 70 degrees for my coffee. It's quicker to boil, therefore cost effective. It also has a chirp when you set the temperature, then press again when you press the button to boil the kettle. Great technology.

You get what you pay for excellent kettle

I bought my last smeg 3 years ago in stainless Steel perfect.Ordered the black not as well made as the last one.Let's hope it last 3 years

It's quiet, boil quickly and pours well

It’s a very nice kettle & lets you know when it’s boils we a tune , but it’s bit expensive but you get what you pay for

Love this kettle, at first thiught was odd the wire and plug are light grey but I've got used to it now and doesn't seem or look odd. The kettle makes little chimes before and after boiling. Has a push button top too which is nicer than a lot of designs. Glad I paid extra for the variable temperature, great feature

Very nice looking kettle, this also has variable temperature settings which allow us to brew excellent plunger coffee (at 95°) and have evening teas without burning our lips. The kettle holds the heat well after the heating cycle is completed. I like the chimes it makes too!
